Positive: So glad I was able to stay at least one night in this stunning hotel. Great staff and lovely pool overlooking the waving fields. A beautiful oasis close to the ruins. Also, they will quickly grab a TukTuk for you to get to a restaurant or shop nearby. Lots of small touches to make guest feel appreciated. Unfortunately they were sold out for my second night so I had to move to another hotel (which had a higher Booking rating, but really did not compare). They were kind enough to let me use the pool and store my bags until I was able to move over.

Negative: Breakfast could use some improvement. Filled with loud tour bus crowd, but that's not the hotel's fault. Also, don't bother with their free bikes. Just pay the small daily fee to rent something more sturdy and comfortable.

Positive: This is what heaven on earth is! The pool area with views over the mountains is spectacular. Staff are lovely and helpful. The massages offered at the spa are incredible. Breakfast is delicious with tons of Thai options for those who wanted to escape European breakfasts !

Positive: The Sriwilai Sukhothai is a fantastic property in an amazing location. Our room faced a beautiful chedi just outside the patio, and the design, decor, and amenities were all top notch. The staff were excellent in every way. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sriwilai Sukhothai.

Negative: Although we loved our stay, there are a few details that could be improved. For example, the beautiful brass plumbing in the shower was tarnished, and the cradle for the handheld shower head was loose, causing it to rotate and fall. I also read reviews mentioning the background music, and I agree: the canned, computer-generated piano music felt out of place and distracted from the natural, traditional Thai atmosphere. It would be much better to simply let guests enjoy the natural sounds of the birds. The music was so intrusive that, at breakfast, my Thai wife remarked, "Let's get out of here, this music is really annoying." Regarding breakfast, both my wife and I felt the options were not very healthy. Only white bread was served—no whole wheat or multigrain choices. Fresh vegetables were scarce, and three types of processed meats (bacon, hot dogs, and an unusual processed ham) were offered, which we politely declined. For a property of this caliber, it would be better to focus on less processed food, less white bread, and more wholesome, nutritious options. Another reviewer noted, and we also found, that the air conditioner blows directly onto the bed. This made it difficult to find a comfortable room temperature: when it was cool enough, the air blew on us, causing stuffy noses and sniffles; turning it down made the room too warm. Ideally, the air conditioning should not blow directly on the bed. These are minor issues compared to an otherwise excellent stay, and I hope these comments are helpful and received in the spirit of kindness and constructive feedback.

Positive: Absolutely gorgeous property, incredible staff, super accommodating and great breakfast. Facilities are excellent, rooms are stunning, but the staff made the trip. They gave excellent recommendations for food, organised taxis and tuk tuks for us (even when away from the hotel) and were constantly anticipating our needs. I’ve never felt so looked after in a hotel before.
