Summary: Don't waste your money. Let's start with the positives: the mattress was reasonably comfortable; the mini fridge and microwave worked. But, the room was not clean. The sheets smelled like I slammed my face into a bowl of clorox and had (what looked like cigarette) holes in them. There was hot water the first night we were there, but not after that. There was only one wash cloth and hand towel. This place is not worth the money.

Summary: Beds were comfortable, location was easy to find and convenient for our activities the next day. But the weather stripping on the door was missing and sound came through from the main road and startled me awake throughout the night.

Summary: We've stayed at the Split Mountain Motel several times for mountain bike races. It's conveniently located and a good price. My only concern was the bathroom was worn out and the shower didn't work well.

Summary: The vent in the bathroom did not work. The shower grout was full of black mold. There were ants in the breakfast buffet room. The room smelled so strongly of lemon scent cleaner it was choking. The toilet seat was very loose. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Summary: Beds were ok. The bathroom was so dirty. The tiles haven’t been cleaned in a very ling time. Staff had to come into the room and show us how to turn on the shower and flush the toilet. If you need instructions on how to operate the plumbing, it needs to be fixed. There are no additional locks on the door, just the deadbolt.
