The Home: This 3,400 sq ft house features 4 bedrooms + a finished walk-out basement and 3.5 baths. The kitchen is perfect for the home chef with high end appliances and the large breakfast bar seats 5 people. The kitchen opens up into a spacious great room with a dining nook and living area to relax and watch TV. The formal dining room around the corner provides additional space for guests to enjoy meals. Off the foyer is a dedicated office space - perfect for those who might need to WFH. Upstairs, you will find 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths - 1 room with a king bed, 2 rooms with queen beds, and one room with a queen bed as well as a twin day bed w/ twin trundle. Downstairs is a finished walkout basement featuring a bar, an additional full day bed, a full bathroom, and plenty of space to enjoy games.
**We have central air/heat on the main floor and the finished basement. The bedrooms upstairs have baseboard heaters and window AC units (installed mid-May through mid-October)
The Pool: Just off of the kitchen awaits a summer oasis featuring a 40'x16' in ground heated pool with deck jets, gas grill, and large patio. Plenty of space to lay out and tan, read a book, or dine outside.
The Hot Tub: Soak and relax in our private 6-person hot tub featuring two loungers, a waterfall, and an upgraded medical package which provides more jets. The hot tub is available for use year-round -- enjoy a snowy evening under the stars or treat your muscles after a long day of outdoor adventure.
The Grill & Fire Pit: We have a propane grill for our guests to use during their stay (we supply the propane). There is also a fire pit off the lower level of the home (next to the wooded area) that we welcome our guests to use (responsibly) especially on a cool fall evening! We do not supply firewood, but it can be easily purchased at nearby grocery stores, hardware stores, or sometimes even on the side of Red Arrow Highway.
The Location: Just 90 miles from downtown Chicago; Within a 5-10 min drive to Weko Beach, Warren Dunes, Grand Mere State Park, Haymarket Brewery & Taproom, and Downtown Bridgman; ~15 min to Union Pier, New Buffalo, and Three Oaks (be sure to visit Journeyman Distillery!)
**The house is at the end of the block and next to both the Lost Dunes Golf Club as well as wooded area. The back of the property butts up against the woods, and as such, there are many trees, critters, and insects around. We do our best to keep leaves, sticks, etc picked up and off the pool area but it’s nearly impossible given the proximity to the woods and number of trees around. We also have the home serviced multiple times per year to help prevent bugs/critters from entering the home - we ask that our guests help us out by ensuring doors/windows without screens are not left open; if you have concerns or questions, please reach out directly prior to requesting to book**

About the Area: Bridgman is a quaint town between New Buffalo and St. Joe - the home itself is on an unlit dead-end street just outside the city limits and sits on the edge of a private golf club. There is a wooded area behind the house (separated by a fence as the wooded area belongs to the golf course). Some noise from Red Arrow Highway and nearby tracks can be heard inside the home at times, but it is typically a faint sound.

A refundable damage deposit of $500 is required - a hold will be added to the card on file after check-in; The deposit will be released within 7 days after check-out.
Cancellations: Should you cancel your reservation 30+ days prior to check-in date, you will receive a full refund LESS A 3% CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEE. Receive a 50% refund by canceling up to 14 days prior to your check-in date (less the VRBO service fee per VRBO). No refunds will be issued if canceling within 14 days of the check-in date.
Guests are encouraged to obtain traveler's insurance to protect their trip.
