Summary: If you are looking for a little piece and quiet..oh and the OCEAN (lol). THIS IS IT! My husband and I enjoyed our weekend getaway and can't wait to book again. The home is set off the main road and just a piece of heaven. You have amazing privacy. The spa was great, and we used it every night. The rain fall showerhead was great addition to the bathroom. The rooms are a little tight, but I didn't care. Who sleeps with a view like this. Vicki gave great recommendations on places to eat. We ate at Trinks for breakfast, and it was tasty. We found ourselves at the farmers market Saturday morning where we picked up some great local meat, veggies, and pastries, so we didn't make it out to any of her recommended dinner places. We brought home our goodies and cooked on the amazing BBQ.I really can't say enough about this property, I would live here. If I had to say one negative thing and it isn't even negative, maybe get a small Keurig machine. I brought our favorite coffee and k-cups with us, so I used the french press and frothed some cream on the Breville espresso machine. Vicki does have beans ready to go in the machine. I was just needy and wanted my husband to have coffee ready for me the second my feet hit the ground, unfortunately he is not a barista, and no one wants to see him try, trust me. lol.What more can I say except thank you and we had a great time. See you soon!

Summary: Great stay at this 2bd/1ba oceanfront cottage with huge yard and views for days. Kitchen pots/utensils well stocked for cooking. No closets, original kitchen cupboards; but bathroom has been remodeled and kitchen appliances are newish. One mattress is soft, one is firm. Rained most of our visit, but some of us enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit anyway. Others of us watched the storms from inside the great room, in front of the fireplace (set between two ocean-facing windows). Would love to return- maybe in the sunshine next time!

Summary: For those who want a quick review: This is an older house with a great view just far enough off Hwy 1 to only hear the Ocean. Gualala shops are 3 minutes away South, and there’s a nice little beach 3 minutes North (Cook’s Beach). For those who want more details, here I go: We had a bit of complication with our reservation because the house sold between our original reservation and our vacation. This meant we had to cancel and re-reserve with the new property manager. She was very helpful and not only guided us through the process but gave us a discount for our trouble, which was really excellent customer service. When it was all sorted out and we arrived, we found the the turnoff from Hwy 1 easily, and found the address easily too. Getting out to open the gate is easy enough because the road is so quiet. There is plenty of room to park, and getting into the keys and house was easy. Inside we were greeted with a clean and cozy little house that served us well for the next five days. Here are the highlights: Cozy living room with big comfy couch and cozy gas fireplace. Gas fireplace works on a thermostat and does a great job of keeping the little house warm. Easy to use and fairly well stocked kitchen with tea, coffee, and all basic cooking requirements. Laundry room with washer dryer. Foosball table in the laundry room. Two small but comfy bedrooms. One has a beautiful ocean view. Luxurious bathroom with spacious shower area including a huge copper tub. Overall great stay!
