Summary: We decided this year to do something different for our family vacation, first we went to Niagara Falls and then traveled to Boston for a Red Sox game. We aren’t city folks so when I saw this cottage on a little island in a neighborhood I knew I had to book it. The property manager Liz was absolutely amazing and had everything we needed in the house. The house was very clean and cozy. There was a beach very close by which our children loved. I would highly recommend this property for a small family vacation.

The host lives directly below the unit, which wasn’t disclosed, and her presence felt more intrusive than welcoming. Upon arrival, she walked us through a list of dos and don’ts, including using a plastic bin to rinse our feet before using the poorly draining shower, not opening marked windows, & limiting laundry to small items due to a 7-hour cycle on the combo washer/dryer.The apartment had several maintenance issues: a torn ottoman, broken lamp, rubber-banded smoke detector, patched ceiling tiles,2 broken bed frames, hard beds & a ripped screen door. Limited toiletries were provided despite the listing saying otherwise & only four towels were given for 4 guests over 5 nights. When I asked for more, she delivered a trash bag of gray towels that looked like our dirty ones. After a quiet comment to my husband questioning if they were even washed, we heard doors slam below—confirming our suspicion that we were being overheard.The TV wasn’t smart or streamable despite listing Wi-Fi and cable. She admitted she didn’t know how to work it. We left the unit spotless & documented everything. While the view is worth noting, the lack of basic hospitality & upkeep make this property hard to recommend.

Summary: Stayed here while visiting during the Boston Marathon. Really enjoyed staying away from all the hussle and bussle of the city but having it be a close commute there. We rented a car and it took us 30ish minutes to get into the city. A wonderfully beautiful stay.
