Positive: This home is very large and accommodated our group of 7 easily. We almost had too much space! It had comfortable beds and three nicely updated bathrooms. The proprietors were very responsive and attentive. It was clean and comfortable. It was nicely located in Shotts near the bus and train, although we brought a car. It was close enough to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Culross that we could take day trips there from this property.

Negative: The only downside to staying here is Shotts is small and there were not a lot of restaurant options within walking distance. We did eat at the Italian restaurant and it was very good!

Summary: Large and comfortable. Good if you have a car!

Positive: The proximity to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The kitchen was nicely furnished and facilities were great. Nice tall ceilings in the main living room and new AC system. The living room and garden space was comfortable and great to relax in. The host was very helpful and friendly.

Negative: There was a double bed and two single beds in one bedroom which meant there was not a lot of space for everyone's bags/clothes. Would recommend removing one bed from this room and putting in a wardrobe instead. One shower of the three wasn't great the power was weak and it flipped from very hot to very cold so we didn't really use this bathroom much but the other showers were great.
