Positive: Great space for a family get together - spacious living space and kitchen and generous sized bedrooms and especially loved the hot tub ! Super-clean and gorgeous crisp cotton bedding and comfortable beds. Lovely tiled bathrooms and fluffy towels.

Negative: Didn’t realise it was on 3 levels with the living space downstairs but wasn’t a problem. Plenty of parking opposite and in nearby roads - the gateway on the drive is narrow so take care and on a slope so needs precision parking !

Positive: Lots of space. Lots of family memories made. Extremely comfortable beds, sofas, a well equipped kitchen & to top it all the hot tub. The owner was very responsive to our messages - thank you. We loved the Christmas tree too.

Negative: Just one thing - the conservatory was too cold to eat in on our first night but after a message sent to the owner we received a fan heater that helped out within 15 minutes. The radiator felt warmer on the following day.

Positive: Everything! The place was spacious and clean , we appreciated every room having a hairdryer and little things like plug sockets next to mirror ( us girls need to be able to get ready with ease) We used the hot tub and the bbq, both welcome additions. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need and more . I can’t even tell you how much I loved they had a tassimo machine which was fully stocked with pods, normally when I’ve been places that have a machine they give you minimal to no pods. Owners left a lovely care package as well which went down a treat. We appreciated the offer of early check in and late check out so we could fully enjoy a last breakfast . Communication was a breeze . Area around was lovely , 2 pubs closeby. Thank you so much, this was a really special weekend for us as our friend from Brazil was visiting the UK after 12 years ( lockdowns , world politics got in the way of it being sooner) and she absolutely loved it and the house made it even more special . Would highly recommend

Positive: We've just spent 3 nights at fern cottage, with 3 generations. Yes, it is by a main road, but we had no issues parking, noise wasn't an issue. Parking was straightforward, clear instructions. There's ample room in the driveway. The host has thought of everything. The kitchen was v well equipped kitchen, we cooked a couple meals, and got takeaway one night. The kitchen had so many herbs and spices, and cupboard supplies, everything you could think of to cook. It was wonderful. The rooms were v spacious, and teens enjoyed the upstairs bedrooms, away from the adults! The downstairs living area was huge. One of the best places I've stayed, and we often do self catering holidays.The beds were so comfortable and good quality bed linen, we slept so well. The fans in the room were great, and I loved that there were different size pillows, so you could choose what you liked. We loved our morning coffees with the coffee machine, and our evenings in the hot tub, before dinner. It was lovely, so relaxing. Would definitely book again if we are down this way. I run my own self catering, and can be a tad fussy on standards, but I can honestly say, this host has thought of everything to make the stay as chilled as can be and the place was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a walk by the river, which was easily accessibly via a pathway about 200 mtres from the house. Great for walking the dog. I can't rate this place highly enough. We all loved it and the host was fab at checking in with us to see if there's anything they could help with.

Positive: Spacious with a good layout for a group. Good showers and comfortable beds. Kitchen well kitted out and the hamper of food was very nice on our arrival.

Negative: Being on a main road it was very noisy, which wouldn’t matter if you could keep the windows shut. The weather was just too hot for that.
