Summary: We had a great weeks stay in this property. Rodrigo and his family were very helpful and helped us with anything we asked for. The property is set up for large groups and comfortably accommodated our party of 12 guests. There is a lovely pool area which was great for sunbathing and the seating area by the pool is fantastic at sunset in the evening. The beaches near by are beautiful and we spent most days surfing, sunbathing and building sand castles. Mr Idalio the housekeeper was very helpful he enjoyed showing the children around the vegetable and fruit patches. There is lots to see in the area and we would love to go back and do some more exploring.

Summary: The house is spacious very well eqiupped and was perfect for a family group. Rodrigo was the perfect host and most welcoming. He gave brilliant instructions for how to find the house and was there to greet us even though we arrived late in the evening. Beaches near the house include Odeceixe which had sand and surfing and a river beach too. Paddle boards and surf and body boards were easily hired and above the beach is a cafe with superb custard tarts! We had a brilliant week and have already recommended it to our friends. Many thanks to Rodrigo and his delightful housekeeper for the part they played in making our holiday such a lovely one.

Summary: We stayed at Monte Pedras Pardas a week in May and had the most amazing time. The property is beautiful, quiet and perfect to spend some relaxing and inspiring time. The house is very spacious, comfy, perfectly clean and has everything you could ever need. It offers a big sitting/dining area with a large table as well as areas to have some privacy. The pool area is perfect with deckchairs to relax and enjoy the view. We had bbqs outside and enjoyed fresh vegetables from the garden nearby. The area also has a lot to offer: beautiful beaches, surfing, hiking on a wonderful coast, eating... This made it so difficult to decide whether to spent the day in the wonderful house or explore the area :). Thank you, Rodrigo, your family and the house keeper! Summary: Dear Rodrigo, we loved to stay at your beautiful area. We had two amazing weeks with the whole family, 13 guys from the age of 2 to 82. Thank you very much for the pefect service of you, your brother and espacially the houskeeper who offers us so many vegatables, fruits and eggs all fresh from the garden. The nature round about the house is wonderful and we enjoy this quit place to relax at the pool with a big scenery until the atlantique. Had some nice barbecues and some surfing lessons at different fantastic beaches, Those who prefer fresh fish, there are a lot of good restaurants, The house keeps what the pictures are promissing at the homepage. The poperty is clean and well maintained. This area in Portugal we love most because it is inside the national park without any hotel complexes. Natives are very friendly. Best wishes to your mom and thank you for the marmelade. Friends are asking us and my whole family is recommending your property as a "best place" for comming together within a family or just friends and learn to know about portugal. Summary: I've spent my 2013 vacations with my husband and the belgium family in this house and it was an amazing experience. The house is isolated enough from the village (max 5min by car) to get your groceries. Its modern and charming and it has all the amenities needed. The exterior environments are amazing. Bathing in that swimming pool at sunset is a must do, such as a night barbecue under the starry night. We had fresh vegetables during the day and the strawberries were the best I've ever tasted in my life as well as the strawberry jam (kindly given by the very nice housekeeper).It was unforgetable for all of us and we recomend it at 100%!

Summary: We spent a week in this house together with friends and our two kids. We had a great time. Apart from the house which is very comfortable with room for both privacy and spending time together, we especially enjoyed the kitchen garden where we picked our own vegetables every day. The kids loved to visit the animals kept not far from the house and to collect fresh eggs. The pool area had a great view of the landscape and the atlantic sea. The pool had a modern cleaning system which involved no chlorine. Instead the water was slightly salty and felt incredibly fresh, almost like sea water. The house was not right by the sea side, but the surrounding area was very charming and typical for the Alentejo area with small villages and plenty of cork trees. And the sea was only ten minutes away by car. During our week we found beautiful beaches and in one place they offered wave surfing courses. The most brave of us had to try and believe it or not, our ten year old was the master among us.

Summary: I have nothing but fantastic memories of this holiday! With so much surrounding rural land (cared for by a lovely man who'll tell you about the area if you feel like testing your Portuguese), this was the perfect retreat from everything. Beautiful beaches and cute towns are near enough for good day trips, but much time can be spent happily by the infinity pool, playing table football or getting to know the goats and rabbits kept further down on the property. The house itself is stunning, with very modern but cosy decor. The huge log fire (safely behind glass) was certainly a bonus for the cooler January evenings, while warmer evenings were well spent on the patio, watching the sunset from a great vantage point in the mountains. A standard review doesn't do justice - of course it was clean and well maintained, and a holiday here can be as relaxing or exciting as you make it. It's the little things that make this place special, from the delicious breakfast cheeses provided to the occasional distant sounds from a donkey farm as you lie in the garden. Proof enough is that we made a return visit in the summer, when the weather was glorious and we really made use of the pool and barbecue. If I could go there now, I'd be on the plane already! Go and see what I mean.
