Summary: We are really disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Toilet had yellow/brown stains. Broken floor tiles. Dusty table and counter top. Filthy bbq machine. Ripped couches and many more complaints. Basement had very foul urine smell and stains on the wall, looked like basement flooded before. Upon arrival we contacted the host to clean the house. But he didn’t send the cleaning crew on that day. Since we had no other option, we did some cleaning by ourself to stay in that house. Never coming back..

Summary: We had a pleasant stay with our family at this cottage with a group of 10 people. The kitchen is well equipped with blenders, espresso makers, etc. The canoe had holes in it and was dangerous to use but we enjoyed all of the other water activity amenities like kayaks and paddle boards. The lake is clean, small, and very quiet. The view is fantastic from the window/dock. We hosted a wedding at this cottage; the outside area (like the deck) had lots of leaves and spider webs all over the place so we had to clean up quite a bit before we could stage the area for the wedding, but indoors was sanitary. We didn't have any children with us but the place has lots of things for kids, also. The host was very responsive to calls and messages and was great to deal with. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a large cottage with all the amenities. The area also has lots of stores nearby if you need food and other items.

Summary: The cottage was absolutely perfect for our family of 11 including five kids ranging from 3-11 years. All three families had their own bedroom suites providing a retreat for quiet time when needed. It was a lovely touch to see 11 chairs around the dining room table. The beach was lovely and we took full advantage of the numerous boats provided to explore the small but much appreciated quiet lake. The fishing was amazing with a number of large bass caught. The owner was very quick to respond to any inquiries and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property to families looking for a getaway. We certainly hope to go again!

Summary: Cottage was amazing! The location was a dream. Only a couple of things were of a 'turn off' - there was a foul smell coming from the closet by the washroom for the kids bedroom. Smelt like a dead mouse was in the blankets in the closet. - black mold in basement - the chair with the fringes in the 'living room' seems to have carpenter ants in it as it kept leaving a pile of wood dust everytime it was moved. - although the cleaning fee is low ($99), we didn't expect being the ones cleaning up for the next renters

Summary: We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The villa has a beautiful kitchen and large dinning area for a good size crowd. The living area overlooks the water which was really nice to sit in the evening and chat while looking out onto the lake. The children loved their bed room and they were amazed at the toys they found. The master bedroom is huge with a king size bed which we loved. Three very clean bathrooms which is perfect with a big crowd. The little beach is perfect for the kids. Our grandkids spent most of their time in the water laughing and playing. They did not want to leave. Martin is a wonderful host quickly responds to question we had. We left with great memories and cannot wait until October to visit again.

Summary: The waterfront was perfection. Sandy beach for young children, deep water for fishing and jumping off the dock for the older kids and adults. There was lots of room for our group of 13. We had a great week.

Summary: Lots about the cottage was great but Cottage is on lake Clair and I am sure the ad said lake McGregor. Owner said he would be next door 1 night and was there the whole time, coming to the garage at our cottage to get stuff out everyday. Kitchen was very nice, had everything you could imagine, air conditioning was a bonus, lake had a nice beach and lake was great for swimming but very small. Bathrooms were great, lots of towels & bedding but several of the sleeping areas s were old or somewhat broken. Really think the owner needs to invest in better beds and newer furniture. An outdoor eating area would be a great addition. We still had a great time.

Summary: Beautiful property and lake! We had fantastic weather and enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards daily! Our six year old grandson took to the kayak immediately and that was all he wanted to do daily! As many other reviewers said, the lake most days we had to ourselves! There were games and toys for all ages. Our two year old granddaughter was beyond excited when she saw all the toys in the closet of the kids room! We had lots of space both inside and out for being together or for quiet moments to read or relax! We would love to stay again if we can work out a time to do so! Martin was easy to get in touch with by phone, text or email! He helped my husband step by step to turn on the generator when we had a power outage on the only day of storms and rain we had! This family time meant everything to all of us! We hadn’t been all together since Christmas with all the travel restrictions during COVID-19!
