Negative: The kitchen window and glass entrance door of the downstairs apartment don’t have any curtains or blinds, so the kitchen and part of the living room are visible to anyone passing by to/from the upstairs apartment

Positive: Top point without a doubt is the location, very close the centre on a cute little side street. Self check in very easy , there an outside gate so also felt very secure. Large spacious apartments , with a well equipped kitchen & modern bathroom.

Negative: Just little minor things, the bathroom smelt a bit ‘ drainey ‘ every day ( bought some air fresheners & keep the loo seat down ). Bedroom window had no decent curtains or better still a blackout blind ( eye mask sorted that ) it also rained in , we had a couple of little puddles but the rain was torrential ! Only thing we missed in the kitchen was a pair of scissors. None of these things would prevent us from returning.

Positive: The apartment is well equipped and modern and spacious. The location is ideal for walking into town, close to 2 supermarkets and restaurants. Having a washing machine is very convenient as is air-conditioning.

Negative: An apartment for 2 with a sun terrace should be equipped with 2 sun loungers not one old uncomfortable wooden thing. Whilst we were there we suffered several days of heavy rain and on three occasions it was torrential and on these days we found the rain seeping in to the bedroom through the double glazed window. The first time this happened we contacted Celia, as we were running out of towels to soak up the water and, bless her, she was with us very quickly with loads more towels. However on another occasion we had been out when the monsoon type rain started and we came back to water seeping onto the window sills and down the wall onto the bedroom floor, towels into action again and the spin drier on overtime. Having said that, the rain was horrendous and we had received a text message from the local government warning us to be alert, and everything else about the property we were well pleased with and weather apart, would be quite happy to return.

Positive: Great location - just a few minutes away from all of the main attractions! Lovely big terrace. The apartment is much bigger than it looks on the photos. Plenty of pans, cooking dishes, etc, in the kitchen.

Negative: There are some stairs on the terrace, you could access the other apartment's terrace by going down, and likewise. There are also some stairs to the rooftop. It is stated in the welcome pack that they aren't safe/shouldn't be used, however, this could make some people anxious/feel less private. It may also cause a concern for small children. Apart from that, the terrace is brilliant.

Positive: Very spacious and clean apartment with all facilities (including a fully equipped kitchen). Within a few minutes walk of the center of the town of Tavira. The host was very professional and responsive and even kindly agreed to a late checkout.
