Positive: Beautiful ocean views and location is great with a lovely walk along the spit. We had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant, and the soaker tub was a great reward at the end of the day. Close to town for amenities and there’s a great drive up to Port Renfrew and stunning beaches along the way.

Negative: Could be a bit more clothing storage, a few drawers would be useful. And a fire log included would also be a nice touch, rather than having to purchase it separately.

Summary: Great place, really enjoyed our getaway. Very relaxing and beautiful place!

Positive: Superbly comfy bed and beautifully appointed room with lovely view over the ocean. Plenty of room, sitting area, minifridge, kettle as well as coffee pod machine, huge shower, separate toilet, locally made eco high end toiletries, towelling robes and slippers. Outside sitting area, open onto shared patio above the sea. Friendly and professional staff. Great brunch, and useful albeit expensive onsite bakery selling croissant, bread, coffee etc.

Negative: Had some fun and games with the room lighting controls which are principally voice-controlled. Also, small point but would have appreciated some crockery and cutlery basics in addition to the mugs and glasses, since I don't think the hotel does room service and it's not our preference to eat all meals in house during a multi night stay. Some guests may not like the shared patio feature although we didn't see another person there during our stay.

Summary: Wonderfully comfortable and well appointed accommodations in a world class ocean-side location.
