Positive: Old building perfectly renovated with an unbelievable amount of charm. Super friendly and supportive staff. Phantastic location. Excellent breakfast.

Negative: Even so the pool area is very nice it needs more attention and a reconsideration of the setting.

Positive: This property exceeded expectations. The renovations to this old Manor House is exceptional and a credit to the owners. The staff Anna and Joanna were incredibly helpful and booked a trip to nearby Santar for us. They were both full of knowledge on the area and the house. The pool was beautiful, set in amazing gardens and very peaceful. The restaurant was dining at its finest and breakfast a feast. Chef Gilbert is very passionate about produce which was fantastic. Siri a star helper and a welcome smile in the morning. I would highly recommend Hotel Solar de Vilar Seco.

Negative: You definitely need a car for this location to appreciate the surrounding areas, Santar and the mountains etc. Although the on site restaurant is amazing it would be nice to have a choice of a cold platter in the evening sometimes to pair with the brilliant wine selections of Chef Gilbert.

Positive: Quiet country estate with a forest, historical trees, fruit trees, flowers and vegetables garden. Breakfast was a personal gourmet buffet. Food and wine pairing dinner was excellent!

Negative: Bathroom needs more space to place dental, medical, cosmetic products. Also needs a bigger drying rack for towels.
