Positive: Comfortable room, good heating and a brilliant view of the mountain.

Negative: We were a little disappointed as we paid more and picked this place specifically for the spa pool, which we were told wasn’t working only on the day we arrived.

Summary: Overall good, just wish that we would have been let know if facilities weren’t available

I loved Sandy's service by giving us all the info about the mountain and how to be prepared with passes and mapping it out for us to make sure we get the best experience which I appreciated soo much! The place itself was soo clean and felt like home. Beautiful lounge area and clean kitchen and nice open outdoor area to enjoy food with the best view in the area! Highly recommend and I'll definitely be staying here on my next trip :)

Positive: The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking! A direct, stunning view of Mt. Ruapehu made our stay unforgettable. The room was incredibly warm, cosy, and immaculately clean. It was the perfect retreat after a day out in the cold. Sandy, our host, was exceptionally welcoming and thoughtful. Her hospitality was top-notch and made us feel right at home. The location is fantastic – close enough to the ski fields and Tongariro National Park for easy access, but situated in a quiet and peaceful historic setting. The overall atmosphere of the lodge is serene and relaxing. A truly special place.

Negative: Honestly, the only bad part was having to leave. We wish we could have stayed longer.
