Positive: I expected to enjoy my stay in the Lake District, but I didn't expect to be able to see Cat Bells (which I planned to hike up) from my room. Breakfast also exceeded my expectations, with a variety to order and excellent quality. Most importantly, Debbie and Paul helped me out when I got a flat, spending a lot of time sorting it while I walked up to a local place for scones :)

Negative: It all exceeded my expectations!

Summary: This was a cute, comfortable, relaxing place to stay with a great location and outstanding hosts!

Positive: A lovely well positioned b&b. A good base for walking in the Lakes. Debbie was lovely and welcoming. My room had everything I needed and a fabulous view. Breakfast was excellent with a very varied choice. I can highly recommend Skiddaw Croft.

Positive: A lovely peaceful location, an easy walk from Keswick, the Skiddaw Croft was an excellent base. Our room was nicely furnished with quality bedding and the largest bath towel I have ever seen! Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided and the owner was extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good, with a selection of cereals and fresh fruit, followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice using quality ingredients. Home made jams and marmalades were provided. Highly recommended.

Positive: We had our honeymoon here , absolutely amazing .Debbie was incredibly friendly and helpful , left us a bottle and card as we’d just got married , she also bought us a drink at the local pub ! Breakfast was excellent , I’m not a big eater in the mornings but my husband said it was one of the best breakfasts he’d ever had , room was lovely and had a wonderful view

Positive: Beautiful cosy b&b with beautiful views, parking and lovely finishing touches in the room. Dressing gown and slippers provided along with tea, coffee, milk, water etc and topped up if required. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of choice and my favourite of yoghurt with fresh fruit, poached eggs with adacado on sourdough. Quantity and quality to perfection. The bed was lovely and comfortable too with a cosy blanket. Thank you so much for making my solo new years trip amazing.

Negative: The bathroom was along the corridor and down a flight of stairs but it was easily manageable.
