Positive: Very spacious double with most comfy bed for a good night's sleep! Located on a working farm, and fully equipped guest kitchen. Cosy living and dining area, too. Could've easily stayed longer!
Negative: The house is wooden and old – great style, but zero insulation. Be prepared to hear everything from the room next door!
Summary: Swizz Alps meets Icelandic countryside

Positive: The guesthouse was very clean, beautifully interior designed, and the common areas were spacious. Dedicated parking was great and being able to see chickens, cows and if lucky, sheep, in the nearby barns was an added perk.
Negative: One of the guest rooms we stayed in was a little bit small, but not bad. The other room we booked was awesome - spacious and cute!
Summary: Skafholt Guesthouse is a hidden gem along the Golden Circle

Positive: Beautiful remote quiet location. But still not far to lots of activities and landmarks. The wooden balcony was a lovely place to have a morning coffee. The kitchen facilites were excellent for cooking a nice meal.
Negative: The sound insulation is not great but mitigated by ear plugs supplied thoughtfully in the bathrooms and other guests are very considerate.
Summary: Lovely guesthouse

Positive: I liked the well-stocked kitchen that had everything I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. This is a great place to stay after a day at Landmannalauger.
Negative: It would be nice to have a good non-stick skillet for cooking eggs.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay there and recommend it.
