New Inn Cottage is a charming ‘one-up, one-down’ cottage which has been tastefully renovated to provide cosy and romantic accommodation for two guests. Situated in the magnificent surroundings of the Shropshire Hills, New Inn Cottage is nestled away far from any street lighting or main roads, which is a joy to behold when night falls and the stars litter the sky.

Inside, you are welcomed into a fabulous open-plan living area including the shaker style kitchen complete with four oven Aga with warming plate, Belfast ceramic sink, dishwasher and even a blender and coffee machine. The kitchen spills into the inviting sitting room area with its focal point stone inglenook fireplace housing the wood burning stove and comfy seating strategically placed to draw you, light the fire and relax. Nestled into the corner is a pretty dining area alcove from where you can enjoy the warmth and glow of the fire as you dine. Upstairs, the romantic galleried bedroom suite boasts character and charm with exposed beam work, comfy king-size bed and a contemporary shower room.

Summary: The cottage was lovely with all the facilities you could want in a pretty quiet village. Dined at the village pub a couple of nights and adapted to cooking on the Aga for other days! The Shropshire countryside is beautiful and look forward to visiting again. No shops within the village so take essentials with you. Having said that there was a generous ‘food hamper’ supplied.

Summary: The cottage was delightful, comfortable, cosy and pretty well equipped. The location is a good base for walking and for visiting several local towns. We found the Aga details in a drawer thankfully otherwise this could have been a bit daunting. Do take all your provisions with you because you are a good distance from any local shop. The village pub was very friendly and served decent pub fare. A most enjoyable few days break.

Summary: A lovely property. Just perfect for my husband to recover from a knee op. We would like to come back when we can do more walking. Wood burner was a treat and I enjoyed experimenting with the aga too. I can strongly recommend a slow cooked lamb and pink peppercorn casserole. Lovely to come back to the warmth from the aga.

Summary: Looked just like the pics. Lovely decor. Nice and clean. Never cooked on an Agar before but it soon whipped up those eggs and bacon. The Agar seemed to be on all the time and it heated up the cottage something you didn't want during a heat wave. The shower was very refreshing. I hope the sofa gets replaced as this was the biggest let down. There was no support in the seating and you literally sank. Locality nice local pub. Places of interest were only 30-40 mins away. Watch the lanes, ok as long as you didn't meet someone coming the other way. Very rural roads but you would expect that due to the location. It stated parking in the description but owner said when I rang prior to going that we could unload and park at the village hall. We kept the car there.
