Summary: We stayed a week in the special house of Aliki and Nikos. We enjoyed the beautiful view on olive trees and the sea. The house has a fantastic covered outdoor area with kitchen and an extensive lounge area. We had some changeable weather so even when it was a bit colder or raining, we could sit outside there. Inside also a cosy living room again with a beautiful view! In short, a very beautiful and wonderfully quiet place. We made nice trips in the area (by car) and saw a lot of the east of Crete. Thanks to Aliki for the suggestions. Thanks also for the pleasant communication, warm welcome and kindness.Willem and Inge

Summary: It was a pleasure to spend a fortnight in this house, The spot is really lovely, with a very nice sea view and perspective, with a beautiful garden . 3 min drive from the sea, The house is very well equiped, very clean, with Air conditioning Aliki and her husband are really welcoming, and nice persons, They advised us on all locations to visit, restaurants to enjoy and we appreciated a lot talking with them, they even offered fruits from their garden We ll comme back for sure next year!

Summary: We were lucky that we discovered this beautiful location for our holiday. We were surrounded by olive and orange trees in Aliki and Nikos large garden full of plants and vegetables. We had a great view of the sea and 5 minutes from long beach which even on the busiest of days you would find plenty of space on your own. Our accommodation house was very clean with every facility you would need for your stay. Out side we had our own very large terrace with plenty of space and shade when it gets hot in the sun. Aliki was the perfect host and was very helpful to send us to all the best sites to visit and all the very best non expensive tavernas where the local produce was in abundance. You will not be disappointed with anything about this rental and we are already planning our next visit in the autumn. John and H.

Summary: The cottage has been designed and built with great care and attention to detail - there's plenty of room inside for two but the terrace outside has it's own cooking facilities so when the weather's warm you just live outside and take in the views over olive groves and the Mediterranean. Aliki lives next door with her family and gave us a great welcome. Little gifts of fruit and wine made us feel like special guests. She recommended local tavernas, beaches and sites, many of which we'd never have found without her guidance. You need a car to explore the eastern end of the island - there's far more to see and do than we could manage over a week's stay. The mountains are spectacular and there are beaches with very few people around. The food is mostly localy produced and delicious. Fresh fish, fruit and vegetables better than anything available at home. Cretans are friendly, kind and embarrassingly fluent in English. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend Aliki's cottage.
