Based in the far corner of the Cedar Flat neighborhood, and just steps away from trailhead access into Burton Creek State Park/National Forest for hiking, biking and cross country skiing, is 'North Ridge Escape'.
This spacious, dog friendly, mountain cabin offers 4 bedrooms and 2 newly remodeled bathrooms. It also has room for one vehicle in the garage (plus driveway parking for 3 more) and grants access to a private, large back deck with forest views. This 1600 sq ft home is equipped with a stylishly remodeled and open kitchen area with two dining tables for ample seating for family meals. And there is easy access to the back deck through the dining room sliding glass door for summertime lounging and bbqing!.
During the winter, stay warm and cozy curled up in front of the wood burning stove. And have no worries about cold showers at the end of a fun ski day with the on-demand water heater.
All 4 bedrooms are located down the hallway. There is a primary bedroom suite with a king size bed and private bathroom. The two queen bedrooms and the twin bedroom share the hallway bathroom. There is also a laundry room for convenience.
This home is a perfect base camp for enjoying the great outdoors of Tahoe (with Fido welcomed) from the front doorsteps!

Summary: The property is in a beautiful location. We appreciated being able to park in the garage during a winter storm. The house wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. We didn’t bring a dog but there was dog hair throughout, on the floors, couch, and I kept finding it on our clothes. The towels were all musty and the duvet cover had a white substance on it that I didn’t want to investigate. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean though.

Summary: Our bedroom door was boarded up .. tough with other guests in the house trying to let our dogs out to potty…. We also like airflow. Other than that .. nice.

Summary: Great location, nice interior, so much room! The back porch was nice. Note there is a master bedroom back porch that seemed to be unfinished and could be a little dangerous at night (no railing, platform drop off). Overall, a good experience, and would book this again.

Summary: This clean and spacious home in North Shore Lake Tahoe (Carnelian Bay) provided our family with a fun summer stay. The home location is near restaurants, activities, beaches, and is a short drive to the casinos. Our family had a great day at the beach next to Gar Woods Grill, & the kids had a great time ziplining just 14 minutes away at Treetop in Tahoe City. Kids loved playing cards, dominoes, & chess that were at the house. The neighborhood is great for strolling or dog walking. The remodeled kitchen was well stocked and was great for cooking. We brought our small dog. Although this property is dog-friendly, it (thankfully) does *not* have a pet odor. The one significant downside during the summer months: there was no sliding screen door to the deck, and no window screens on many windows, which prevented us from opening the windows or sliding door to air out the hot house. Owners were up-front about the lack of air conditioning, & encourage prospective renters to open windows in evening and mornings to cool down the house. We could not do this without flies, gnats, and mosquitoes entering the house. Three of the bedrooms had screens, so luckily they were a bit cooler, but the main living areas & kitchen were often 80-85 degrees and didn't cool much at night. The several fans in the house were turned on most of the time to circulate the air. The only other downside is the master bedroom TV had no cable box, but had a DVD player if you bring your own DVDs. Overall very good!
