Positive: The view is extraordinary - looking at a busy canal surrounded by interesting houses and people biking, close to a fab fish shop, bike rental, gelato, grocery stores and flower shops. The apartment itself is stunning with three huge ceiling to floor windows in the living room/dining room, modern comfortable and good quality furniture, several striking paintings, good quality appliances, dishes and bedding.

Negative: The 19 narrow stairs up to the apartment were difficult for me as I have mobility problems. I hadn't understood that the whole place is upstairs - I mistakenly thought just the 2nd bedroom was upstairs. I was very content once I was up them, though. The principle bedrooms has leaky windows that let in cool air - didn't bother us in May. The living/dining room floor makes many sounds and indeed sways a bit. We didn't know how to operate the washer, dish washer, stove and oven and there were no instructions but we found instructions online. A microwave would be a useful addition. Our biggest problem was that we couldn't get a taxi to take us to the train station and it was a long walk for me while limping and carrying/pulling luggage.
