Positive: Lovely property in a peaceful location. Staff were excellent and really helpful. They helped us book a safari for the day after we arrived which was brilliant with very knowledgeable guides. They also picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop. Really friendly service and the room was clean and with good facilities.

Positive: I originally booked one night here and ended up staying 4, and overall it was a wonderful stay. Raj was extremely helpful, offering to drive me places on his bike, arranging a jungle safari for me, and him and his wife always cooking delicious Nepalese food. We also went for lunch one day for a local dried buffalo that is a hidden gem. The hotel itself is a very nice space with a great view of snow capped Himalayan mountains. Since it's on the edge of town it was peaceful and quiet. Could hear animals at night. Clean room, and very nice pool (although it was winter it was a refreshing dip) I enjoyed the view from the mustard fields when they bloomed yellow.

Positive: Rasj and his family are amazing. They are really helpful and kind. They cook extraordinary food, really tasty. The place is comfortable, nice and big rooms, with aircon. Place surrounded by rice paddies, wonderful place. And with swimming pool.

Positive: The best place I have been in all of Nepal. If I could give more than 10, I would. Shiva’s Hippies Colony in Sauraha is not just a guesthouse , it is a home. Raj and Swastika form a lovely family. Kind, respectful and human, they welcome you not as a customer but as a friend. From the very first moment, you feel safe, at ease, and truly seen. It’s a typical Nepali family setting, where you can experience something truly different. They are not acting kind, they are kind. Authentically. You can feel it in everything they do. I kept extending my stay, day after day. I only left because I couldn’t change my flight ticket. They can help you arrange any activity such as jungle walks, jeep safaris, canoe rides. Pick-up and drop-off are available too, to and from the bus park. They provide bycicles for free, the Wi-Fi is excellent, and the chill-out area invites you to relax, read, meditate, or simply be. The rooms are clean and comfortable, matress is top quality and the food is nourishing and delicious, and the pool is a big bonus. If you are heading to Sauraha and want to experience something deeper than just transactions and services (not blaming anyone,it’s just not my cup of tea), look no further. This is your place. Go with time. Let yourself slow down.

Positive: Raj and his family are very welcoming , they prepared us good food and made us feel like home. Raj helped us book any activities we wanted during our stay and was always there for questions . The place is located between rice fields and has a swimming pool, it is the perfect place to relax after a hot day in the jungle!
