Negative: When we arrived at the apartment, we opened the refrigerator and found a lot of ants. We were told there was air conditioning, but it turned out it was broken. She said she was going to call a technician, but clearly he never showed up. (She says she sent him, when she never told us if someone would actually come.) The AC should have been working anyway, because it was advertised. We always pay for a place with air conditioning (which is more expensive to avoid the heat) and we were hot all the time. It has a fan that makes a tremendous noise and isn't enough. We asked for an ant spray, and they brought it to us the second day, and it was empty. We found cockroaches (We don’t have time to take photos, but they was in the washbasin), and when we told the owner, she mocked us, saying, "What if we couldn't kill two cockroaches?" Even a slipper would do it. When you don't go on vacation to fumigate, there shouldn't be any bugs. The shower barely runs, and it's super hard to take a good shower. One of the worst hosts, with no sense of service, had a downright childish attitude when she blocked me on WhatsApp when I told her what was wrong with the apartment. It's on the third floor, so if you have limited mobility, don't even think about it. (O don’t know why, but booking it’s not letting me upload photos)

Summary: If I were you I wouldn’t stay here (Only for the bad predisposition)

Positive: Nice airflow so I didn't even try the aircon. No mosquitos as it is third floor. No cockroaches. Nice balcony.

Negative: I wish water pressure was higher but this is quite standard in Kenya so it is what it is.

Positive: The host was lovely and kind. We found the place squeaky clean. The location easy to find, views in the morning were super pretty. Would definitely recommend it. Very budget friendly and proximity to restaurants and hotels was definitely a plus.

Negative: We probably didn't know to use the AC in the room 🫣 but the fan came through though a tad noisy.

Summary: Lovely, fun and short. We should have booked more days 🙈🙈
