Positive: We loved the location and the view from the room was absolutely amazing. Loved the bed too.

Negative: To be able to sit in the room and enjoy the view would be good. We moved the furniture around (and back again) and it was really nice!

Summary: This is a super hotel in a very special location that gives a fresh perspective to visiting NY.

Positive: Location great for ferry into manhattan. Great walkway along the Hudson. Room from corner room was spectacular

Negative: Windows didn’t open and the room had had a smoker in before us. Really smelly. Great views but needs modernising. Breakfast was not a buffet it was a la carte if you didn’t have a voucher. Lots of choice but massive portions I asked for half size and told it wasn’t possible neither was mixing fruit platters. Kids portions available but only to take away! Staff been told by new management you have it off the menu or not at all no deviations possible. Staff were lovely it wasn’t their fault they couldn’t change anything.

Positive: the room was large with a very comfortable bed and great bedding. The location was perfect with the ferry literally right outside the entrance!

Negative: the lighting! The sitting area was not well lit. There was lots of room but it wasn't useful room. The bathroom had light only from the mirror. Needed light in shower. Not enough places to charge phones, etc. It would have been nice to have a light breakfast offered free for the cost of the room.

Summary: this trip was a once in a lifetime for us

Positive: Nice 24/7 gym, pool looked nice but we didnt use, staff were nice and helpful, you can order packages to the hotel :) there is a microwave you can use in the reception and also filtered water tap you can use.
