Negative: Distance from pub to walk to each evening. Was advised a pub/ thai restaurant was just across road but it was closed and looked like it had been for a long time.

Positive: Perfect location. We didn't even use the car on Say, walked up over the Cleeves down to Watersmeet back Lynmouth, took the rail up to Lynton and walked back from there. Lovely presented room. Well equipped kitchen. Catherine was very helpful too. Loved hearing the river from the bedrooms. Such a peaceful place.

Positive: Lovely cosy cottage, beautiful surroundings. The steps may be too steep for an elderly person and parking may be difficult for an elderly person, It was clean, cosy and beautiful surroundings host very friendly and accessible.

Negative: We felt a bit uncomfortable at first having to go through someone else's garden but the young man who owned the property next door was very friendly and didn't seem to mind. I like to meditate and it was perfect very quiet, the only problem my hubby quit smoking and now vapes which meant he had to walk down the bottom of the road to vape.😘🤗😅🤣

Positive: Beautiful cottage. We would like to stay here again. Sitting in the front garden with the sound of the West Lyn below is hard to beat. Beautiful interior and equipped with everything you need. Great walks from the doorstep to Watersmeet and beyond. Recommend walking to Valley of the Rocks and on for a dip in Lee Bay. Superb restaraunts in Lynton - Restaraunt Kensington, The Old Bank and The Oak Rooms in particular. Also the Thai across the road from the cottage. Very friendly and helpful owner. Stunning cottage in a very special place.
