Positive: We stayed in ‘The Winery’ villa which has 2 beds and 2 baths, the space was much larger than we expected and was beautifully styled and clean on our arrival. We comfortably had 4 adults and a small dog in the space and it did not feel cramped at all. The villa has under floor heating and heated towel rails for those who stay in the colder months which would be beautiful in the cold. In the warmer months the villa has air conditioning and fans which helps keep the place cool. The fact we could bring our dog along was a huge plus for this accommodation! The accommodation is situated on a great property that you can roam around, horses and sheep located at neighboring properties too which was lovely. Communication with the hosts was great, they’re very responsive and able to give great information on local attractions, which was very helpful with planning. The accommodation is a few minute drive from town and situated on a road close to a number of wineries!

Negative: Nothing to do with the property but unfortunately a lot of places are closed over the Christmas/New Year period in Mudgee. Having a full kitchen available and all the basics was amazing to be able to cook yummy food whilst we were there and when places weren’t open.

Summary: I hope we get the opportunity to return to Shawwood Estate and enjoy this beautifully appointed accommodation, possibly

Positive: The host Melissa was wonderful and had excellent recommendations on cafes, things to do, and information about the property (what to do upon arrival etc) all in a portal so everything went really smoothly. The property itself is exceptionally clean, with lovely decor and location wasn’t too far away from town. Was dark enough for us to enjoy the starry night. Would definitely come back!

Negative: Just a preference, but pillows were a bit soft. Otherwise nothing.

Summary: Loved every bit of our time there.
