Positive: This is a unique property and it was warm and cosy with very comfortable beds with a lovely view out over the sea. The owners had thought about pretty much everything even though there was not a huge amount of space. The owner was very helpful with advice about where to visit and things to do. The owner has a restaurant onsite which we visited and it was nice.

Negative: The stairs to the first floor double bedroom are very steep so would not be suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues. The front door didn’t lock from the outside or inside, the owner told us not to worry about it as it was a safe area. However we were promised that he would fix it and he didn’t during our 3 night stay there.

Positive: We had a wonderous and magical stay at Shannaghs Sweet escape, such a beautiful location in a cosy wooden cabin that suited the 4 of us and we were so well looked after by our hosts Scott and Shannagh who really made us feel really welcome 🙏. The cabin is next to the Laughing oyster restaurant run by Scott and Shannagh which was an extra surprise to have a fantastic place to eat on site as well. The views were beautiful surrounded by mountains down to okenover harbour and plenty of opportunities for hiking and canoeing in the area. It is a truly hidden gem! Thank you so much to our fabulous hosts.🫠if you are looking for a peaceful beautiful getaway this is for you.
