Summary: Quite disappointing for a Shangri-La hotel. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not feel up to the standard I normally associate with the Shangri-La brand. Communication with the staff was sometimes difficult, especially in English. What bothered me most, however, was the lack of organisation at reception. There did not seem to be a proper queuing system. Even when you were clearly waiting, other guests would come after you and be assisted first, sometimes repeatedly. This made the experience quite frustrating. For me, service is one of the most important parts of a hotel stay. A hotel can have beautiful rooms and facilities, but if the service does not feel welcoming, friendly and well organised, it really affects the whole experience. The hotel itself also feels like it could benefit from some upgrading and renovation. Overall, this was below what I expected from Shangri-La, and unfortunately I don’t think I would choose to stay at this particular hotel again.

Summary: Swimming pool was not open, but everything else was very good. We were clean, newly renovated. Of course the lobby is very nice. Conveniently located across the Lo Wo shopping center. Great massage place in the hotel you definitely should try although they don’t speak much English in the massage place.

Summary: I had to change room because the wall between rooms is not sound proof. At around 3:30 am to 4:00 am. The room either above me or next to me was taking a shower or using their bathroom, and the draining water sound abruptly woke me up, I THOUGHT THE WATER WAS DRAINING DOWN ON ME !!!
