Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The forest setting is absolutely amazing. The journey along the road itself is a once in a lifetime experience! It is pretty remote but if you are prepared it is well worth the effort. There are self catering facilities so we cooked for ourselves but the hotel will get food delivered in for you with a bit of notice if you prefer. The staff were very helpful - they helped us organise a fab rafting trip and a taxi to our next destination.

Negative: There were leeches in the forest when we were there. A watchful eye & a speedy swipe prevents them attaching so not really a problem once we knew to look out for them.

Summary: Once in a lifetime experience in an amazing setting - just be prepared.

Positive: The location is in the middle of dense forest, with all the basic amenities at your disposal. There was a natural river pond, personally for us. The cook(Deenu) made excellent Sri Lankan food.The attendant (Amil) was very humble and prompt. This hotel is ideal for couple or those people who are looking for complete solitude. The owner was in contact with us throughout our stay and made sure that all our requirements are met. The owner also arranged White water rafting from a very reputed company which was the best part of the stay.

Negative: Over all general cleaning could be better. The hotel is approx 15 min car ride from the main road. Since it is remotely located so it becomes inaccessible from the local market, shops and restaurants. There should be some shuttle service at regular intervals to and fro uptill main road. Though somehow we managed to hire a bike but riding on a hilly jungle roads was risky. The Manager was not of much help in this regards.
