Positive: The location was fantastic, being centrally located to all we wanted to see and do: the zoo, the botanical gardens, shopping in Arcata, Redwood Park, Woodley Island, MOD pizza, and Target. They were all just a short drive away! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The TV was huge and the internet was fast! It was nice to have a garage and a washer and dryer! The host was easy to reach and friendly. There were plenty of towels, soaps, and toilet paper. Even though the property was close to the Main Street through town, it was quiet and private.

Negative: I'm trying not to be too picky, but there were a couple things that are worn out and need replacement: particularly the pillows and the kitchen faucet.

Summary: We three girls had a wonderful time staying at the property and it was just what we needed!

Positive: I liked how the property was tucked off in a semi-secret alley way, yet is right next to a main road. The inside was quaint, and peaceful. Although it was lacking a little bit on kitchen ware, the bare necessities needed were available. The bedrooms were cozy, and while I don’t prefer feather pillows, I slept well. I also appreciated that the TV was a Smart TV. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of extra towels. Overall, a good first experience in an Airbnb.

Negative: The AC/heating unit was hard to figure out. It got really hot at certain times of the day downstairs, it must’ve been preset. We were expected to wash our own dishes, which isn’t a huge problem and this is my first time staying in an Airbnb so I am unaware if this is normal, but I thought that would be a task for the housekeepers. Some of the silverware looked dirty, so I don’t trust that some of the last people there were very thorough with the cleaning. Also, I would’ve liked to have TVs in the rooms. As a person who falls asleep with the TV on, I had a hard time getting to sleep, but that’s just personal preference.

Summary: It was just what we needed for our trip.

Negative: Just a heads up if you’re planning on staying here there are no bedrooms or bathroom on the first floor.

Positive: The house was a bit difficult to find, but once we arrived it was very easy to get into and it had everything we needed for our stay. We were able to cook dinner for our son who lives in town and we got a good night sleep each night.

Negative: Again, it was difficult to find the property. There was one e-mail the day before arrival that had the actual instructions on how to find it. None of the other apps or documentation had the correct directions.
