With easy year-round access and an ideal location near the marina, hiking trails, general stores, and local restaurants, this cabin makes the perfect home-base for your mountain adventures in every season.
Inside, you'll find warm, inviting spaces. Anchored by a stunning two-sided rock fireplace that connects the living area, dining room, and kitchen. Perfect for gathering with family and friends. The great room features soaring vaulted ceilings and large windows that bring the surrounding woods right into your living space, creating a peaceful, cabin-in-the-forest atmosphere.
Step outside to enjoy the large front yard, spacious deck, BBQ grill, and outdoor dining area. The heated two-car garage includes a ping pong table for a little friendly competition.
Whether you're spending your days on the lake, exploring nearby trails, or simply relaxing by the fire, Seven Pines Cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and rustic charm for an unforgettable mountain getaway.

NO PETS: This home is NOT pet friendly. Owners are very allergic to dogs, so we cannot make any exceptions.
LOCATION: In the heart of the Lake Vallecito recreation area, you are near the marina, hiking, biking and ATV trails, fishing, hunting, ice fishing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling - the San Juan wilderness area is at your doorstep! Vallecito also has a few restaurants and general stores. Appx 25 miles to downtown Durango and 50 miles to Purgatory Ski Resort.
COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
NOTES:
The fireplace in the Great Room is operational; the fireplace in the bedroom is NOT operational.
This home has parking for 3 vehicles.
During winter storm events 4WD is required.
There are 3 ring cameras on the outside of the home facing the driveway, back porch and walkway to front door.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home location was perfect as we were in town for our son's wedding at the Vallecito event center. There was plenty of room for friends and family. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking for a house full of hungry people. I would suggest morning coffee on the back porch to watch the deer travel along the hill.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this great house. The area is so pretty. The house worked great for family reunion of 11. We made memories playing games and laughing around the large table at night. The lake is just a minute walk and fishing and walking around was enjoyed.

Summary: The Property was beautiful & felt extremely Secluded until we got in trouble for dancing late into the night on the beautiful open deck. We had an amazing time. I sincerely hope the neighbors within an ears distance forgive us for having too much fun. The home is cozy. Our children enjoyed all the amenities. Highly recommended.

Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The kitchen was very well equipped as well as the garage for pretty much any outdoor activity. The cabin has a very cozy feeling. We used the fire pit for smores, the kids used the sleds in the garage on a small slope right behind the house that luckily had some snow. There is a little store/restaurant just a few houses away. VRC was very responsive to emails and helpful! We had an excellent time at this cabin!!
