Summary: An unfortunate incident occurred during our first night at the hotel. Due to staff or maintenance negligence, a gas valve was left open. At approximately 11:45 p.m., a guest returning to the hotel noticed the issue and called the police. The hotel was evacuated by the police and fire department because it was deemed unsafe. No staff members were on the premises, and it took approximately 20 minutes for someone to arrive. In the meantime, the police and fire department shut off the gas, and large fans were used to ventilate the building. EMS also responded to assist guests who were experiencing headaches caused by the gas exposure. After a staff member arrived, police advised them that, in addition to no one being on-site, the bar and other facilities had been left unlocked when they should have been secured. At around 1:00 a.m., the police finally advised that the area was clear and safe. Despite this, we did not feel safe remaining at the property and decided to leave. While we were refunded for our stay, no additional consideration was offered. There was also no follow-up from management or apology to ensure our well-being after such a serious incident.

Summary: My stay here was a splurge, and it was worth it! Everything about Seven Beach Lane is outstanding — from the friendly, welcoming staff, to the impeccably designed and maintained property, to the food in the restaurant and the idyllic setting near the beach. I can’t wait to return!
