Negative: There was a blind broken and fallen down which was quickly addressed by staff, the mop was old and smelly but again quickly addressed by staff

Positive: the location was an absolute dream! nestled right above the cliffs, it's only a couple of minutes' walk down to a stunning beach, from which you can also access a lovely coastal path

Negative: that nothing aside from bedding and the most basic kitchen utensils was provided (e,g, just a single small bowl for cereal) we had to stock up on things like salt, pepper, oil, toilet paper (the latter of which was a painfully late discovery), etc. add to that the "leave nothing behind or you might be charged" policy just creates an enormous potential for waste, particularly when travelling from abroad, where you just can't take a litre bottle of oil or vinegar back with you. also, those sort of non-perishable food stuffs don't hurt anyone if they're left behind, in my opinion. also didn't appreciate the fact that there was a 200 quid cleaning bond that we hadn't been informed of until *after* we'd booked and paid (no refunds policy)

Positive: This was a last minute booking. The property is situated in a stunning location, and is only a 10 minute walk into Polzeath along the cliff path. It is also a 30 minute walk to Daymer bay, and an hour to rock. The property doesn’t have a sea view, but the other property adjacent Kittiwake does. This didn’t bother us as we could sit outside on the picnic table, and have a sea view in the evening and morning. The property is very basic, but cosy and clean, it was smaller than expected but not by much. I would highly recommend this property if you are not fussy, and want a base to go surfing and exploring. We mainly stayed in Polzeath and enjoyed eating out at the cracking crab (5 minute walk) and the Atlantic restaurant. I would highly recommend this property for the price, and I feel it is good value for money.
