Summary: This is a beautiful property, very well equipped and furnished. Space is generous, including several outdoor spaces, covered or open. The hosts are super nice and responsive. The place is perfect to access all the rich cultural and natural wonders of the Southeast corner of Colorado. Shopping and dining in Cortez is 10-15 min away. We are a family of four (teenage daughters) and spent a few days there. We would definitely come back if we come to the area again.

Summary: The Carlson House is a fabulous place to stay! We loved our three nights there and we should have stayed longer! Lou Anne was wonderfully welcoming and very communicative. We enjoyed the hot tub immensely and took full advantage! Mesa Verde has been on my Bucket List for some time, so if you are going to Mesa Verde you must stay at the Carlson House! We loved the welcoming deer on our first night, and the resident cat "Flash" is so loving! We nicknamed him Morris! Everything is magical here!! One of the BEST rental experiences that we have encountered!! If I could give it more than a 5 I would! Thank you Lou Anne!!

Summary: The Carlson house is simply awesome. Clean, quite, comfortable, beautiful home and grounds. Our son and girlfriend enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Having well equipped kitchen was also a bonus!! We will definitely stay again when we come to visit family in the area.

Summary: This was a great centrally located home that was close enough to Cortez and easy access to Mesa Verde, Telluride and Canyon of the Ancients. Very peaceful setting and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and not only meeting Ken and Lou Anne, but Millie, Jazz and Flash!
