Positive: This location is private, wonderful views, good walking. Location is close to the rest of the Lofoten but far enough away that it was quiet. It has everything you need, including a dryer-a rare thing in Norway. The kitchen was large and well arranged for cooking.

Negative: The stairs could use a full handrail since they are very steep and narrow. The handrail only goes halfway down.

Summary: Wonderful private place with amazing views and good walking. Good place to view the aurora.

Positive: The house is located at a peaceful location alongside the sea and makes for a perfect getaway for large families. It has four bedrooms — 3 in the main house and one in the outhouse, a fully equipped kitchen, two dining tables, two complete bathrooms, a washer and a dryer. The host was extremely cooperative and warm and went out of the way to make our stay comfortable. He even sent his neighbour to give us extra firewood when we couldn’t manage to find some as the local stores closed early.

Negative: Be sure to close the windows and doors properly as otherwise it attracts houseflies indoors.

Positive: This was a great little house set in the countryside. It was a perfect get away. The lounge room fire kept us toasty. The kitchen is fresh with all the mod cons. The bathrooms are updated and clean.

Negative: The stairs up to the bedrooms and down to the laundry were short and steep which is in keeping with the age/style of the home. Just remember to use the railing!

Summary: Perfect place to connect with nature.

Positive: Traditional style of house beautifully transformed into modernity. The house has all you need, and more. One exception though: there is no microwave. The view from the house is of a great beauty and makes you want to stay for a long time.

Negative: The floor heating in the (biggest) bathroom takes at least 24 hrs before producing any noticeable warmth effect.
