Positive: Contrary to various comments I read, I was pleasantly surprised to find all amenities working: air conditioning, mosquito net, hot and cold water, even Wi-Fi! A bargain for the price and a very good location. Recommended to every small budget !

Negative: Some people mind find it a little shabby but I don't mind, especially for the price!

Summary: A proper hotel room for the price of a dormitory within walking distance to the beach.

Positive: The location of Selfia Guest House left nothing to be desired. The guesthouse is on a quiet road that leads to the beach which is a few-minutes leisurely walk away. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owner, Selfia, after whom the property is named is a very hospitable young lady. Selfia Guest House is your place if you desire a quiet, clean and homely accommodation for yourself or your family.

Negative: The owners also have a restaurant which they have been operating for almost 30 years. The restaurant offers good-quality, tasty meals at reasonable prices. When I visited, the restaurant was only open for lunch onwards. It would have been great if it were open for breakfast also, since there are few other good options for breakfast in the vicinity of the guesthouse.

Summary: Homely, comfortable stay and meals close to a quiet, clean beach.

Positive: The courtyard was spectacular. Lots of trees, flowers, bushes, etc., very quiet and peaceful. Clean air and lots of birds singing. The owners were very friendly, professional, helpful and will do everything to address any issues. There is a veranda where you can sit in the courtyard and relax. It's nice and quiet in the area as well. I do recommend this guest house.

Negative: Unfortunately the restaurant for the guest house leaves very much to be desired. They either don't have most of what is on the menu or they say the dish is not good, or there is too much salt in the food. The portions were very, very small. There was only one other restaurant in the village and it is over spicy. The Mish Mar restaurant on the beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the guest house and serves the best food in the area. They also have great coffee and chai, omelets, craps (pancakes) and ice cream. For the room, the A/C is set on sub-zero and is NOT adjustable. The WiFi was extremely weak in my room and there is NO hot water for showering except for what is the tubing in the solar unit.

Summary: Needs a little more work but very nice!
