Positive: THE MOST IMPORTANT requirement of any hotel or guest house is quietness. It’s the reason why we hate hotels and prefer a self contained form of accommodation . The location of this property was set back from the main road and we couldn’t hear a thing - simply bliss . Although compact it had everything we needed including Wi-Fi and Netflix. Bed was comfy and shower good - boxes ticked. Log fire was very cozy, sure it’s an older property but we loved its charm.

Negative: Nothing. If I was super picky then the bushes and trees in the back garden could do with a trim to enjoy the fab views.

Summary: Perfect base that was quiet, cosy and comfortable .

Positive: Good base and location to see snowdonia. Everything you need from self catering accommodation. Excellent food at the pub across the road. Plenty of parking within walking distance of the cottage. Friendly neighbours. Good WiFi connection. This is a clean traditional cottage with traditional features.

Positive: The property was small, cosy and provided an authentic country side, Welsh holiday feel. There was a log burner which was amazing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The area had very bad internet, but the internet provided was amongst some of the best.

Negative: The property suffered from damp which was apparent immediately from smell but further reinforced when inspecting the cupboards in the kitchen and with signs of damp on ceilings and walls. There was also an old and mouldy product in the cupboards.

Positive: Everything, this was so lovely! We loved the cosy house with the fire. It was just big enough for the 3 of us and had everything we needed. Location was really great for what we were in wales for, zip world, snowdon and paddle boarding. Shops and take away food was close, plenty of places to walk in the area, lovely neighbourhood and one fantastic neighbour in particular who borrowed us some maps and books for the area. We loved every minute and would stay again.

Negative: The only thing would be the heating I suppose which might come to play in the winter months. The fireplace warms the cottage up quick but it cools just as quick so would probably be chilly during the winter but was not an issue for us in August. There were electric heaters dotted about too through.

Summary: Loved it, absolutely perfect for our needs.

Positive: It’s a cosy, lovely cottage in a nice location. Locals in the pub are friendly and food is good. Facilities and equipment in the property are great. Our favourite in what was in parts a very wet and windy week, was the wood burner which heated the whole property really well and made it very cosy.

Negative: There was nothing we didn’t like. It was all great. Would advise caution for those with mobility issues or frailty. There is a steep slope going to the property.

Summary: Lovely stay at a well equipped and cosy cottage in a friendly area.
