Positive: Super comfy and family owned Hotel, the staff was superb, tasty continental breakfast and good dinner, clean room and we could see the Aurora from our room window! Definitely recommend.

Positive: The location was very good, with a view of small craters from the room window. The staffs were nice and helpful. The room was soundproof, spacious and not cramped with soft and comfortable mattress. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choices.

Negative: The hallway to the room was a bit complicated.

Positive: Helpful staff gave us recommendations of things to do in the area given the amount of time we had. Room was quiet and we had a great view. Beds were comfy, linens nice. We arrived in the evening and had dinner at the on-site restaurant. That was convenient, food was good, service was quick. Breakfast had a large selection. We stayed off season in a "family" room (room for 4) even though there was only of 2 of us. Wanted the extra space. The common/lobby area is large, there is a pool table. The restaurant bar area was quiet and comfortable, it you're looking to get out of your room.

Negative: This is an older hotel, that has been update and well kept, but still has an "old" vibe. Door key was not electronic, and was tricky to use (turn key 360-degrees ++). When we booked we saw a picture of a "family room" with a couch/lounge area, we wanted that room (wanted a larger room). Reached out to reservation and received email reply saying we would get "that" room. What we really got was a handicap accessible room with 2 club chairs, 2 dining chairs. The handicap bathroom sink was the size of a shoebox and half the depth of a shoebox. The kettle was plastic and smelled like it was melting when heated. They have a self service coffee station with hot water in the lobby which is what we used instead of the kettle (inconvenient).

Positive: Great hotel: clean, comfy, great breakfast spread, amazing views on the lake… overall a nice experience, including the bonus of the little hot tubs to soak in after a long day. They even provide you with a bathrobe. Perfect location to start off your tour around the lake and visit all of its amazing natural wonders. There’s also a nice caffe with cakes and gift shop just across the parking lot.
