Summary: We love coming to this property so much!It has everything you need to have an enjoyable time.Its relaxing and beautiful .I read two books while there and enjoyed the lake,fishing,birds,and connection to nature!We will be going back again!

Summary: The weather was chilly as the season began to change. They couldn’t swim, but the kids loved catching sunnies off the dock. Our 3 kiddos repeatedly asked if we could come back. We played board games in the evenings, cooked hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire, and enjoyed walking around Lake Emerald.

Summary: We stayed with young children and grandparents. Everyone had a great time and was peaceful without a TV! Grilled, fished, and enjoyed the outdoors.

Summary: The kitchen had everything ya need. A great stove/oven, We did need to use bottled water. The master bed was comfy and nice size. It was only the 2 of us so thats the only bedroom we used. The full bath was a little inconvenient but only because we couldn't get into it, and it was a cold weekend and its not in the main part of the house, but still nice and newly added or remodeled. And the 1/2 bath could use some brighter bulbs. We had to use the furnace at night, once we figured out it had to be plugged in. the unlimited supply of firewood was very helpful for the cold mornings and evenings too. But a little inconvenient to get at. It was fairly quiet considering there are neighbors on either side but obviously not there while we were. It is also somewhat close to Fort McCoy so there was something taking off from there and it sounded like a rocket trying to take off... WIFI worked fine for us. We enjoy quiet so we did not use the record player but the selection looked amazing. I wish we could of made more use of the screen porch even though it faces the back and not the water, but if youd open all the windows in the living area, it would be just the same as screened room. I caught my biggest bluegill ever! But thats the only type of fish we caught, and only from the pier. We may have caught the swim raft too... :( It's nice if you do have a boat though, that you can fit through the channel to Morris lake. Which has a nice beach/swim area since Emerald is very weedy.

Summary: We had an absolutely beautiful week with the weather and had so much fun on the lake . The cottage has a great layout and accommodates well in space. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. This was our second summer of going here and we will book again!!!

Summary: My family has been going to Mt. Morris for years as my parents have a cabin on the lake. We liked the cabin for its location to the beach, the fire pit and had a lot of fun listening to records and playing card games on the porch. The only thing we couldn't find was the switch that controlled the lights for the back door porch.
