Summary: The villa was very clean. All the amenities to hand. Excellent host. It was a nice touch with the food hamper to see you through a couple of days. Beach and restaurants within walking distance. Airport just over 20 minutes away. If i had anything that wasn't to our liking was the beds but to be fair to the owners i suffer with a bad back so thats not on them. We would definitely recommend to our friends, and hopefully we can stay there again.

Summary: ...for a relaxing holiday?! We've just returned from an 11-day stay at Villa Nicola, which has all you need to recharge the batteries. It's very well-equipped and located close to shops and restaurants, several within walking distance, and long sandy beaches (although Lendinuso beach wasn't clean enough for our liking). It's easy to get to all the well-known Puglia sites, with quick access to the good road network. Then on returning to the villa after a hot day's sightseeing, what could be better than cooling off in the large and well-maintained pool. We also enjoyed a wonderful trip down the coast in Cosimo's boat, kindly arranged by Richard and Noirin, stopping off to swim in the beautiful turquoise and crystal clear sea. Richard and Noirin are very attentive hosts, always on hand if needed and providing useful recommendations. We would particularly like to mention how spotlessly clean the villa is. In all, we highly recommend a holiday at Villa Nicola. Thanks for making our holiday a success. Helen and Michel

Summary: Villa Nicola is located in a quiet seaside town, very Italian, so learn to slow down! Excellent accommodation. The villa has two lovely bedrooms, sleeps up to six. There is everything that you could possibly need for your holiday provided in the villa. As this was our second visit we knew to only take hand-luggage and make full use of the washing machine. Richard and Noirin are brilliant hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they are super-helpful. The fabulous welcome basket is more than enough to keep you fed for a couple of days. Ask Richard and Noirin for recommendations for places to eat or visit and look through the comments in the Guest Book for ideas too. The garden is just great. A lovely, shady loggia for sitting out and eating. There is another seating area on the other side of the garden too which makes use of the shaded side in the morning - great place to sit with your first coffee of the day. The pool is just fabulous; huge. Great to do lengths and work on your fitness or work off the pasta. We intend to visit again too. We highly recommend this villa.

Summary: Our second stay at a Richard and Noirin villa and could not be happier. Super accommodation: clean, spacious, well-kept; very well-equipped in the kitchen and well-furnished with ample storage for holiday clothes etc. Villa Nicola is superb. Lovely pool and large enough to actually feel like you can swim proper lengths – thereby justifying the excess of pasta and pizza! The garden area is spacious with lots of seating to suit everyone: sun-lovers and shade-lovers alike. We certainly made plenty of use of the sun-loungers and shady seating area and, depending on our mood, we’d either follow the sun or dive into the shade for a little relief. Eating out in the evening was a real pleasure and we enjoyed it so much we spent all evening sitting out. We discovered the games compendium in the villa and learned some new games, different versions of old favourites and, of course, cards. The bedrooms are well-appointed with chests of drawers and wardrobes for storage. The large room offered more than enough space for two people; and with the curtain drawn became almost two rooms. The second bedroom was perfect for our son and being on the shadier side of the villa remained cooler even on the hotter days. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and has everything you could possibly need to rustle up a simple snack or a full dinner. We never really made use of the breakfast bar or sofa and chairs: preferring to sit outside. The barbecue is fantastic and we loved the outdoor cooking and eating. The Welcome Basket is stocked with enough goodies to keep you well-fed for a couple of days at least. The folder of info in the Villa is a good read: all you need to know about the local area and suggestions for places to visit plus restaurants and bars. Villa Nicola is brilliant for two couples. Plenty of room to accommodate two cars inside the gates of the villa. The front garden has some lovely fruit trees and we enjoyed some delicious plums straight from the tree and added zing to our drinks with the lemons. Richard and Noirin are amazing, they make you so welcome and do all they can to make your stay hassle-free and relaxing. Compared to other villa experiences where faceless agents take the booking and key-holders see you in it’s a very welcome change to find owners like Richard and Noirin who welcome you in personally and are on-hand throughout if needed. They are the real faces of Place in Puglia.

Summary: Villa Nicola is just wonderful. The villa is fully equipped to a very high standard and has everything you could need. The pool and outside area are just outstanding...huge pool, lovely seating area with table and chairs that is shaded, fabulous wooden sun beds with wheels that are easy to move and a wonderful paved seating area in a particularly sunny corner that we understand was done for a long standing repeat visitor that loved to sit in this corner! That gesture sums up everything that the owners are about. They work so hard to ensure their villas are spot on, the quality and detail is just second to none and nothing is too much trouble for them. You can email them with all sorts of questions and they always reply by return. The welcome basket they provide is amazing...everything you need for the first couple of meals including milk, tea, coffee, bread, butter, eggs, ham, cheese, pasta, cereals, cakes, biscuits, beer, wine., fruit ...and more! Fantastic. You can settle in without worrying where the nearest supermarket is etc. They also ensure there are basics like olive oil and salt and pepper and loo rolls and kitchen rolls....all the things you usually have to go and buy immediately when you arrive. They really do try and think of everything and if they have missed something, just tell them and it will be sorted! We stayed in another Place in Puglia villa last year in a bigger group and we were just astonished by the quality of everything and the hands on service that they provide because they are so close by and involved in the whole process. We wouldn't consider staying with anyone else if we visit this part of Italy again. Keep up the brilliant work Richard and Noirin

Summary: Great, well appointed and well maintained villa. Welcome basket on arrival much appreciated. Air conditioning and fans a big bonus. Commanding views down to the coast from the roof terrace and balcony. Close to local supermarket, bakery and butchers. Kids played football with the local kids at the piazza beside the beach most evenings. Good local pizzerias for nights out. Nearby ATM machines in the town of Torchiorolo at the Bank and at the Poste Italiane. Owners were really helpful and sourced a mechanic when we had a flat tyre. Highly recommended and we're going back next year.

Summary: We where a party of five two who where only staying for a weekend Friday to Monday, the other three stayed the week. We traveled from Dublin on A Ryan Air flight to Bari direct. Ryan Air fly from Dublin on Friday and Mondays. As we where not driving we had a pick up at the airport to bring us to Alberobello where we where going to stay over night in a Trulli house. Saturday morning we had a pick up to bring us to Lendinuso the area where Villa Nicola is, drive time from Alberobello 1hour 10 minuets. On our arrival we where met by Richard who explained every thing to us in detail very clearly, how to work the TV, air condition , keys for the doors, out side gate etc. Richard also specks Italian as well as English. There was a very well stocked welcome basket with all the basic to get you stared which excluded the following in the fridge, butter, milk, eggs, orange juice, yogurts , cheese, ham, beers, in the basket was a bottle of wine, pasta, sauce etc. All towels are provided for use. There are two bed rooms the master bedroom had a big double bed and two single beds the second bed room has a double bed. There is a shower and toilet with another toilet out side a the pool. Large pool quite deep at one end which would befit from some kind of marking for safety reasons. On the Sunday my sister had arranged with Richard to have a man come in to cook us a BBQ at the pool side which was beautiful. There is a lovely bakery, butcher, supermarket and small cafe bar. This area is idel if you need toget away from every thing and have lazy days by the pool, or if it is not to breezy lazy days on the beach. The locals are lovely people. A car is essential to drive to other areas . Over all the Villa is beautiful very well maintained and safe. Richard and Noirin are perfect hosts to their guests and will answer any questions , give advice and assistance where needed. Drive back to Bari airport from Lendinuso takes 1 hour 30 minuets. Bernadette Carroll.

Summary: We stayed at Villa Nicola for the first week of June 2016, we had a lovely stay and cannot fault the villa at all, it has everything you need and the pool is lovely! Although the pool was cold when you were initially getting in, so definitely jump in and you'll be fine :) Even my 1 year old daughter loved the pool, it was great. My only disappointment was that Lendinuso was very quiet and not much was open as it was still so early in the season, there were only 3 restaurants open. Therefore we had to drive to most places to get the best out of our holiday. I wish that I had of known about it being so quiet due to being early in the season because we would have come in a couple of weeks time when it was busier/open. However regardless of this we enjoyed exploring Puglia, we visited Lecce, Ostuni, Brindisi, Campo di Mare.... the list goes on... all of these places were great! The only downside was that one of our group had to drive and couldn't relax and unwind with a few glasses of wine with the rest of us. I highly recommend going on the wine tour, this was a great afternoon and such value for money! Richard organised this for us and we loved it! But you will need a designated driver for this.... Richard and Noirin were fantastic throughout our whole stay, they're extremely knowledgeable and can recommend some great places to visit and nice places to eat. We had a few issues regarding our rental car and Richard was on hand to help us out! He went above and beyond - Thank you so much :)
