Summary: Quaint little hotel, clean, the restaurant makes home cooked meals, awesome !

Summary: The hotel is situated in a good location to go to the sites and towns in that area. Right on the highway. Comfortable beds and large room. Restaurant on site that we used for breakfast and one supper. Good food, good service, reasonable prices. However, other things were not up to standard. Two lights were not working and we reported the first one (didn’t get fixed). One sink was not working and that was identified with a note from the hotel. The other sink drained real slow by the end of our stay and we reported that. One of our tv’s needed a new box in order to work. Manager fixed it and that was appreciated. Rooms were not very soundproof and we could hear talking in the next room. Our toilet was a hit and miss for flushing. Housekeeping service was subpar. Our beds never got made at all and we informed the front desk twice. I don’t think our place got vacuumed. Towel service was supplied and she kept bringing additional toiletries which we didn’t need. It was strange! I talked with the owner/manager and we ended up with a 15% reduction on our room. It was appreciated that he did this.

Summary: This is a very old facility and needs a lot of work to upgrade and clean. The fridge was unusable as it stunk of fish.

Summary: Excellent place to stop over between Clarenville and Bonavista. Rooms were clean and big and air conditioned. Very quiet and peaceful and breakfast in the attached restaurant was also great. Would recommend if you are in the area and need a place to stay would recommend this hotel.
