Positive: The location was good right along the beach. Didn't swim in the pool as it was absolutely pouring with rain and full of kids. Breakfast was below par, mostly Asian foods with not much catered for Westerners. The bread was very stale and not much to choose from.

Negative: The rooms surrounded the pool and were all in very close proximity so no real privacy or quiet time. Boom boxes brought out onto the verandah by other guests with loud music playing. Through no fault of the hotel, the weather really dampened our stay here and it was our choice to cut our 2 night stay here to just the one night.

Summary: Not the best of stays on our Cambodian trip

Positive: Super clean. Attentive staff. Maintenance and priority cleaning was continuous. Super close to beach. Great pool. Restaurant menu was good and well prepared

Negative: The GM was not responsive or friendly to guests. Did not introduce himself or attempt to problem solve when front desk staff just a few meters away were struggling with customer questions and request’s…we asked for 2 extra pillows and THE GM attempted to charge us $10 per pillow! Otres’s Beach was one of my favorite places for years. But unfortunately the overdevelopment along the northern stretches have ruined the charm. Sad.

Positive: Room was well equipped and very comfortable. Pool looked great and I saw a family having fun together. Restaurant had good selection of local and western meals. Food was delicious and nicely presented. It was great for a good sleep before a long flight home!
