Positive: Offers a b&b experience that is slowly going extinct. The owners are friendly and personally involved in every aspect of the lodge. You always feel welcome and wanted, from early morning to late at night. A magnificent breakfast is included in the price, dinner can be added and is also excellent (with vegetarian options and locally sourced seafood). The rooms are clean and lovely, you are even provided a pair of binoculars to spot seals and whales in the bay. In fact, we saw some thanks to that. The greatest highlight, however, was sitting with the other guests and the owners, having drinks and singing while the waiter/barman Norrie played any song you requested on his guitar. There is no place like Sconser Lodge and if we come back to Skye, not only will we be staying there, it will be TO stay there.

Positive: Fantastic and beautiful location. Staff is super kind and helpful. The room was big and very well appointed. It had a mini fridge, closet, big bathroom, and two comfy chairs overlooking the beautiful loch through a big window. The beds were comfy and a cot was able to fit in the room for my son. The breakfast was very tasty and dinner was good too.

Negative: Very expensive, but that may be because it's summer and it's a popular and beautiful location. It was by far the most expensive place we stayed in Scotland despite not being the nicest. (Though it is indeed very nice!) Also not their fault, but the midges were absolutely awful and we couldn't even sit or walk outside without getting bitten all over. And since they don't have window screens in Scotland, you can't open the windows if you have any lights on, because they'll come in. So it gets quite hot in the room in the summer. I would stay here again if I come back to Skye, but not in the summer.

Positive: Scenic spot by the edge of the water. Beautifully kept lodge. Nice and cosy. Easy to find.

Positive: Charming if faded 19th century hunting lodge. The furniture and interiors were beautiful antiques, though many were worn and creaky. The views of the water were lovely, from our room and the dining room and lounge. Lisa and the others working there did their utmost to meet our every need with a smile. The bathrooms, happily, were newly modernized and immaculate. I loved the antique glass with ripples still in some of the sashed windows. The breakfast (included) and dinner were really excellent: varied, skillfully prepared, and tasty. I don't know what the fire marshall would say, though, about a front door knob that takes a few tries to open, even from the inside.

Positive: The owners are absolutely amazing. So caring and accommodating. This was our favorite stay in our trip to Scotland. The bed was comfortable, the views were unmatched, the bathroom was nice, the food was delicious, parking was free. I can't recommend Sconsor Lodge enough.
