Positive: We very much liked the hospitality, George is an excellent host! He guided us to our apartment and gave us a lot of useful tips regarding restaurants, cafes etc. The room we had for 60sqm was very comfortable, with high ceilings, warm, with a very nice view to the mountains and sea. We had also a toddler with us and she enjoyed our stay a lot too. There was enough room for her to go around, same for our dog who was also very welcomed. The sea is in front of the houses and Skaloma beach was recommended for swimming. We also got a free cot for our child with blanket and towel.

Negative: The road to get the apartment was not well, however if someone guides you is ok. For a longer stay there was no oven in the apartment, however for a short stay the apartment had an electric kettle, toaster and fridge so you can also cook.

Summary: We would recommend the apartments for somebody who wants a quite place close to the sea to relax.

Positive: Scalma was exactly what we needed to spend the perfect New Years Eve, as we did not want to take the traditional approach. We got to recharge our souls, we rested due to the comfortable beds. Cooked food as the apartments are fully equipped with everything you might need. But I guess what impressed us the most, was the silence and peace of it all. We enjoyed the morning walks on the pebbly shoreline to the nearby villages, listened to the waves, and had the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, overlooking the Rio-Antirrio Bridge. For this place you may need to rent a car, as it was created far from the noise of the towns...but we had no problem with it. We loved exploring Nafpaktos, and nearby villages. With a car you can really be adventurous. Our host was very accommodating and I believe it was the start of a friendship. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in a holiday. The boys played table tennis, and soccer... there were plenty of activities that they thought about. I could write an entire essay about this, but it is all in the eyes of the beholder. It was perfect for us!
