Summary: Country Chalet is located at the end of a golf course, so it offered a lot of privacy and a large yard to walk our dog. We loved the location- about a 35 minute drive to Shawano and close to relatives in other towns. The house is roomy and very well-stocked with everything you might need. Several appliances are new within the last few years and everything was clean. It is a historic home, with all the things that come with a vintage property- including interesting antiques and baseboard heat. Two suggestions: room darkening blinds in the Antique bedroom and a full length mirror somewhere in the house. There is a good family restaurant, Harvest, nearby. Helen, the owner, was very responsive and accommodating.

Summary: Well stocked kitchen, working appliances, firepit with lots of wood, place to park (outside), quiet enough, facing a green on the golf course with areas to sit outside and relax. The place and furnishings are old but the house itself is clean with plenty of linens provided. My roommate was a snorer (freight train? and not a knock on this place, of course) which prompted me to take my bed to the hallway where I was more comfortable next to an AC unit. The unit has 3 Bedrooms (2 with a bed each, one with two twin beds) and two bathrooms. Bring a snorer at your own peril if there are five of you or one less person. We also saw a rollaway in the closet. Helen was very responsive to our messages and question.

Summary: This was my 1st VRBO experience and we chose this site as it is located in an area that I have been going up to since I was a child. The house is so comfy, is stocked with absolutely everything you would need and we felt at home immediately. Check in was extremely easy and there was no issue that required us to contact the host. Because of my ties to the area, this will definitely be a repeat VRBO site for me!
