Summary: Great central place to access Ripoll, Rupit, Vall de Nuria, and Gorg de Malatosca, Castell de Montesquiui, and finally the village of Santa Maria de Besora on the way to Salt del Mir. The hotel in Sant Quirze is very tranquil, next to the river, and a park alongside the river, as well as the municipal pool (very clean. The restaurant at the hotel is very friendly, ran by a Spaniard and his Dominican wife, with good food food and great views. Our room had a balcony where we ate a couple of late dinners with a view of the mountains, the village, and the train passing in the distance.
