Positive: We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sand House. The location was great, super easy to get to with a sedan, and it's right at the end of the dunes, so it was a nice walk to see the sunset. The rooftop was a lovely place to just take in the views and enjoy the sunrise. The house had all the amenities/facilities you need. We didn't cook, but the kitchen had everything you'd need to cook/have a meal. The pool! We enjoyed night swimming/taking a dip in the pool, which was nice and refreshing amidst the desert heat. Special thanks to Camarol, who was fantastic from pre-check in until check out. The entire house was absolutely spotless, he patiently answered all our questions, and made us the most delicious breakfast. Wish we stayed longer, but definitely pinning this location for the future!

Positive: The Sand House is very nice, comfortable, modern and very well equipped. We had a minor problem at the checkout, the owner and the staff were so compliant, supportive and kind, they solve everything in better way as possible.

Positive: The location of the Sand House right on the edge of the sandy desert is unbeatable. From the upper room and the large terrace you have a fantastic view of the sand dunes. Directly in front of the terrace is a small camel farm. The rooms are clean, AC and Wifi worked well. A small kitchen with fridge is available for use. But it wasn't very helpful either

Negative: We were the only guests there during Ramadan. In town we were not welcome in restaurants after sunset at a reasonable time and with appropriate clothing. Our car was thrown at by youths. This is the only place in Oman on our trip where this happened. The guesthouse cannot be held responsible for. But it wasn't very helpful either

Positive: This huge modern house is perfectly situated near the sand dunes but also within reach of restaurants and shops. It has a lovely huge roof top terrace and a small swimming pool. the rooms are large and with comfy bed. wifi is good. you can use the kitchen or outside BBQ space. The host is very friendly and helpful. you can ask him anything and he will assist you. we loved our stay here and for sure would come back again! Thank so very much!

Negative: The kitchen was lacking a few items like cutlery and glasses and plates but that can easily be fixed.

Summary: Beautiful large house at the edge of the desert with small pool and lovely views!
