Leave your cares behind and enjoy the beautiful Catskill mountains as you relax in your “Stream side Sanctuary,” a beautifully renovated two bedroom house just outside of Phoenicia, located on the lovely Stony Clove Stream.
The view from the property is wonderful year round, with the autumn colors being especially spectacular. We also have a terrific stream side patio and seasonal fire pit. It's available April through November and is fueled by propane. No wood needed and a great flame! (see photo)
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious dining room that looks out at trees and flowers from a bow window, living room with gas fireplace and large screen TV, modern bathroom, two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, air conditioning and heat throughout making it a cozy, comfortable retreat year round! The house has a phone, cable TV and wifi. A car is not necessary as the house is located just one mile form the bus station in Phoenicia. You can walk to town, eat in one of several restaurants, visit the quaint shops, or go fly fishing. A little over a mile will bring you to the Tanbark Trail and/or the trail up Tremper Mountain, both very popular spots, or walk about 2 miles to the Phoenicia Diner for a hearty breakfast or lunch. With a car, there are many sites and activities nearby. The Emerson complex has interesting shops as well as a restaurant, spa, and the world’s largest kaleidoscope! A short drive will bring you to hiking trails, lakes, ski centers, concerts, and other nearby towns to explore. Come and enjoy “your vacation home” without any of the work or responsibility

Summary: The backyard is beautiful and worth the stay. We werent allowed to use the fire pit, which was a bummer but overall pleasant stay.Very clean, warm and cozy.

Summary: Great place to stay for a quick weekend getaway. Great host. She communicated with us ahead of our stay and made it easy for us to prepare well for the trip and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The place is charming and the views are amazing. Place is clean and well equipped. Would definitely consider coming back for another fall trip.

Summary: Perfect getaway for me and my husband. Very clean house with all the basics there! All you need to do is get up, make some coffee and walk straight out to enjoy the stream. It’s so relaxing. The fireplace and fire pit are easy to use. Great location - easy to get to trails and food (every place we ate at was so good!). I will definitely come back!

Summary: Would have loved to stay longer! My husband and I biked the trails everyday. Then hiked the trail to the Falls one day too. Lovely dinner at Peekamoose! Owner was fabulous! Thank you

Summary: We were very pleased with our stay at this property. The directions to get there were very detailed, as was all of the information about the area that the host shared before we got there. The lovely area by the stream is a real plus. The host, again, was very attentive. It helps that she lives next door. We would highly recommend this property.
