Positive: We knew what kind of hotel room we have booked and we got what we expected. I would say Sami City Hotel is convenient. The hotel does not have staff working on site. You access the building and your room via different codes that you get on the check-in day. We were driving and we just needed a place to spend the night, so for us this was easy and we can arrive at any time, no depend on reception times etc The room was comfortable, clean enough (even though there was some dust in some places), renovated, warm, with private toilet and shower. The common area was downstairs. We used the fridge and freezer and made breakfast there. The kitchen was small and had couple of tables. There was just another 2 guests in the common area, so it did not feel full. This area could have been a bit more cozy. The parking was clean of snow and we could access easily. Beds felt comfortable and even if it was 2 single beds, there was this metal part to connect them.

Negative: -No reply to my messages in booking platform about the parking and the possibility to plug my car, as it was cold. -More cozy common area: some sofas, carpets, more tables... -No staff could be a problem for many -Some signs about "what is behind each door" or pointing down to the kitchen would help to find the common areas -Cleaning the freezer/fridge. There was an abandoned lonely sausage in the freezer and this was not very inviting

Positive: We prepared the breakfast by ourselves in the common kitchen. The location is good, very quiet. The distance to the bus terminal is not very far.

Negative: There was no hairdryers in some room. Some windows cannot be closed easily. The hotel name was not clearly visible on the road. Other guests made the kitchen a little bit messy.

Summary: It is a good and economy hotel in northern Norway.

Positive: Had a communal kitchen and was clean and rennovated.

Negative: Property signage says Motel ( visable from Road) and then White Reindeer on a sign on driveway. So a bit confusing as I booked it as ‘ Sami City’. Didn’t get check in instructions until mid afternoon so was a bit confused what to do / expect when we arrived a bit earlier. Never saw any staff member. Our room was next to front door & carpark so heard people at night coming in. I felt was overpriced for what it was. But few options in Karasjok.

Positive: I had a huge room & it looked over the beautiful valley. Great location & easy in/out

Negative: There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher & food left in the fridge & the shower needed repair.

Positive: Very nice appartment, this place is huge, nice and clean, easy to find, the host even offered an extra room for free so we would be more comfortable. Very lightful in the morning, sauna and well equipped kitchen ! Highly recommand, the host was very friendly and available =)
