Built in stone, the cottage has recently been converted to offer accommodation for up to 4 people, all on one level. There is a shared garden that offers fantastic views across the Blackmore Vale and the potential for al fresco dining during the summer months. The owner also owns a private fishing lake which you can use through prior arrangement. This cottage offers a haven in which to get away from it all but, if you are seeking night-life or a restaurant, then Shaftesbury is within easy access. Summary: This was a lovely bolt hole in the country and an ideal location for visiting wonderful local landmarks. The cottage was well equipped and nicely presented with a welcoming box of biscuits on arrival. Very quiet with tranquil views. The owners were over the driveway and extremely friendly. Salisbury, Glastonbury, Sherborne and the like were within easy reach as was Poole on the coast. An ideal spot and perfect for that relaxing getaway.

Summary: Great location and beautiful scenery. The only unfortunate thing was that I found it difficult to communicate with the property manager. She greeted us upon arrival, but getting into contact with her afterwards was difficult.
