1 Bedroom Cottage in Dennysville, Edmunds Township

Nestled in the heart of Downeast Maine, our cottages are a peaceful retreat. Our 7 cottages, along with our house, are located on the same large property in Edmunds Twp, Maine, United States. The cottages are in a wooded area with privacy maintained for each.
Originally built in 1965 to replace an older camp, this single-level log cottage features a vaulted ceiling and a field-stone fireplace. There is also a monitor heater for those cold nights. Complimentary firewood is provided in an outdoor woodshed. The cottage offers a cozy kitchen, dining area and living room, as well as a bathroom with shower. There are two bedrooms; one with a double bed and one with 2 twins. Linens and towels are provided. The screened porch overlooks Robinson's Pond and is a short walk to the swings, badminton/volleyball net and swimming area. There is also an outdoor charcoal grill and picnic table. Free WiFi is included.
Edmunds Township is in a very rural area within 30 minutes of a variety of coastal towns and activities. The property boasts a man-made pond and the Dennys River. We are also only a few hundred yards from the Sunrise Trail.
The closest stores are in Pembroke, a 6-mile drive. There is a Dollar General and a Freshies. These have some groceries and takeout options. The closest sit-down restaurant is 12 miles from us in Perry, but most are located in the towns of Machis, Calais, Eastport and Lubec which are a 20 to 30-mile drive. Many restaurants and stores close early here, so it's best to call ahead for hours if you are planning a later arrival.
All of the cottages have a kitchen so cooking for yourself is a money-saving option. Coming from the north, the last stop for groceries is Calais and coming from the south, the last stop for groceries is Machias. Both are about 25 miles from us. There are also grocery stores in Eastport and Lubec which are just over 20 miles.

Summary: Lovely quiet spot complete with a pond and boats. Unfortunately we stayed only one night on our way to another location. Clean and respectfully kept up. This is a gem. Planning on staying again on the way home.

Summary: This two bedroom compact camp sits on the edge of a fresh water pond with a river running through property as well. In the pond we saw river otters, turtles, fish, ducks and loons. Eagles soared above. Walking on a nearby trail saw two huge beaver dams. This vintage cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The screened porch was amazing. When it was too chilly to sit there we came in and built a roaring fire. The firewood is provided...split, stacked with kindling and newspapers. The owners, Theresa and Bill were accessible and answered any questions

Summary: Every day, groups of turtles and one big snapper came and said, hello. My dog especially loved chasing frogs back into the water. I guess he thought they belonged there. Lol. From sunrise to sunset, the porch was my favorite spot. Or the little kitchen table. Just a great place to be.

Summary: We stayed over one night in cabin 3 on our way to Canada. What a great location! Cabins are fun and there is a pond and river to swim in and explore. Boats and life jackets are available to use, too. The beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable, but overall our stay was great and the kids had a lot of fun.

Summary: It was exactly as we expected. A real Maine camp with real Maine owners. Only the best! We hope to be able to go again some day. Terry Young Judy Higgins Gabby Bayley

Summary: Robinson's Cottages was a wonderful place to stay. My sister and I were in state to visit her son and daughter-in-law who live in Princeton. While this wasn't necessarily close to their home it worked well because there were lots of places to see not too far from the cottage. The setting was idyllic; so peaceful and my nephew and his wife loved stopping by there and visiting. We had dinner there one night (he had made "moose" lasgna and they enjoyed fun fishing and canoeing. I highly recommend Robinson's cottages if you want to unwind and relax. Thanks so much for the lovely stay.

Summary: Beautiful cabin and scenery with fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of firewood, which was important because the space heater had trouble keeping the whole cottage warm. Canoes, badminton, volleyball, swings, canoes, and kayaks kept us plenty entertained without leaving the site.
