Summary: We loved the view of Moosehead Lake from the rental. However, we wished that they had outside chairs by the water and a usable dock to fish from. The cabin itself is very rustic as described in the listing, but there are cobwebs galore! It’s very dark inside the cabin even with all the lights on. It really wouldn’t take much for the owners to take this rental from dark and dingy to warm and cozy by just adding some string lights and lamps and cozy furniture and farmhouse/rustic wall hangings. It really has potential and I will give it 3 stars now. Hope it can increase

Summary: Beautiful view from the cabin and the property. Felt just like my great grandmother old cottage on Newfound Lake in N.H. and another cottage I stayed for two weeks on Mooselookmeguntic Lake in ME when I was a teenager. It's basic, rustic, eclectic, but very cozy and homie. As for the hum mentioned in another review, I believe it is just the refrigerator gas exchanger. Nothing to worry about. The porch screen was fixed.

Summary: We loved the location! Close to town, right on the lake! & big yard for the dogs! The deck was a bit sketchy we brought our boat. The camp was very rustic, close to ourdoorsy living as you can get! Comfy bedstamenities!

Summary: Great cabin. Rustic as described but had what we needed. Decent shore for kids to enter water. Loved sitting by the lake at night with fire pit watching stars. Bring some chairs to sit by the water none provided. The cove is great very few boats so the water is calm and safe for kids. Property management was great. Only issue we had was running out of gas for the grill. Management resolved that right away.

Summary: The pictures of this cabin are not accurate. The lighting is extremely poor, and even with a sunny day, the cabin remained dark and depressing. The beds were so uncomfortable that we could not sleep there for a third night and left a day early. The drainage in the shower as well as the kitchen sink was slow and caused accumulating dirty water. There were cobwebs and I even found a tiny spider crawling across my pillow. The bedding was clean, and I feel the cleaners did a fine job with what they had to work with. However, I would not recommend nor stay here again.

Summary: The good: The camp was rustic and peaceful. The wood stove was nice during a rainy day. We rented kayaks and had them delivered and picked up directly from the camp- easy and fun. We were provided fresh drinking water. We were able to bring our dog. The location on the lake was great! The not-so good: The electrical system used extension cords and connections buzzed like they could arc- out and surged under load. The wood stove was supported with stacked 2x4s. There were mice inside. All water for washing (dishes and showers) were unfiltered from the lake meaning not clear and a little smelly. The furniture (picnic table inside and plush couch) was not rustic nor fresh.

Summary: This was the first time I rented a property managed by Vacasa. Their customer service is really terrible for any questions you may have in advance of your stay (eg. the water is not potable, do they supply a water cooler or do we have to supply our own) but once I was checked in the local team was fairly prompt. The internet did not work initially, but they sent someone to fix it the following morning. There is a train that passes once or twice a day and when it does, it is loud! Luckily it is infrequent. That's the worst of it. The cabin is otherwise as advertised, very rustic but well appointed. I did find the beds to be way too soft for my taste, but I didn't have any back issues. The location is really beautiful, the lake is fantastic, and there are walking trails very close by (which few people seem to use). I had a great time and would consider renting again.

Summary: Excellent location. Could not drink tap water . No one told us so we had the runs for half a week. Both beds were full size, one was supposed to be queen. One of the beds is an air mattress!?? Though the bedding, floors ,and window glass seemed cleaned, the window sills, walls screened in porch, was full of dirt and cobwebs. The land and dock,(which I was told by a representative did not exist) ,is not well taken care of. With weeds growing around a beautiful picnic table under a roof for shade at the waters edge is unusable. The golf ball and baseball sized pebbles in the water made swimming not an option. ( except a neighbors beach sand made its way a couple of feet into the property line. Literally a couple of feet) but giving all of this,we had a relaxing time. Waking up to mountains views and a nice breeze coming from the water while I drank my morning coffee on the porch.

Summary: This cabin was exactly what we were looking for: a lakefront getaway, yet close to town and hiking. The description and photos were spot on and the kitchen was very small but had anything you would want or need. We would definitely stay again.
